Abstract
Description
− セリウム、サマリウム、ユーロピウム、テルビウム、ジスプロシウム、ツリウム、エルビウム、ネオジミウム等のランタニド金属および
− d-ブロック金属、特に2列および3列のもの、すなわち39〜48および72〜80の元素、特にルテニウム、ロジウム、パラジウム、レニウム、オスミウム、イリジウム、白金および金
が含まれる。
− 電子輸送を提供するためには、9,9−ジアルキルフルオレン−2,7−ジイルのホモポリマー等のフルオレン繰り返し単位のホモポリマーを用いることができる。
− トリアリールアミン繰り返し単位を含むコポリマーは、正孔輸送または発光を提供することができる。式4:
これらのポリマーの調製のための好ましい方法は、たとえばWO00/53656に記載されているようなSuzuki重合およびたとえばT.Yamamoto、「有機金属プロセスによって調製された電導性および熱安定性π共役ポリ(アリーレン)(Electrically Conducting And Thermally Stable π−Conjugated Poly(arylene)s Prepared by Organometallic Processes)」、Progress in Polymer Science、1993、17巻、1153〜1205頁に記載されているようなYamamoto重合である。これらの重合技法はいずれも「金属挿入」を介して行われ、ここで金属錯体触媒の金属原子がアリール基とモノマーの脱離基との間に挿入される。Yamamoto重合の場合にはニッケル錯体触媒が用いられる。Suzuki重合の場合にはパラジウム錯体触媒が用いられる。
単一のポリマーまたは複数のポリマーは、溶液から堆積して層5を形成することができる。ポリアリーレン、特にポリフルオレン用の適当な溶媒には、トルエンおよびキシレン等のモノまたはポリアルキルベンゼンが含まれる。
組成物1(比較):7.5wt%のリン光赤色エミッタをホスト材料にブレンドした。
組成物2:14wt%のリン光赤色エミッタをホスト材料にブレンドした。
組成物3:20wt%のリン光赤色エミッタをホスト材料にブレンドした。
組成物4:25wt%のリン光赤色エミッタをホスト材料にブレンドした。
オフ状態において−9V
周波数=60Hz
マルチプレックス比=64
図2に示すように、濃度7.5wt%で存在するリン光エミッタは、より高濃度のエミッタを有する組成物よりも実質的に短いパルス寿命を有する。さらに、実施例2〜4の組成物の効率は、比較組成物1の効率と同程度で、ある場合にはこれよりも高い。そのように高いドーパント濃度の組成物は濃度消光に付随する欠点があると予想されると思われるので、これは驚くべきことである。
Claims (13)
- ホスト材料およびリン光エミッタを含む組成物であって、前記リン光エミッタは前記ホスト材料中に10wt%を超える濃度で存在し、前記ホスト材料は前記リン光エミッタよりも高い三重項エネルギーレベルを有し、前記組成物は蛍光エミッタを含まず、したがって前記組成物からの発光は実質的にすべてリン光であり、前記リン光エミッタは前記ホスト材料中で10wt%を超える濃度においてピーク効率を有することを特徴とする組成物。
- 前記リン光エミッタが前記ホスト材料中に10〜25wt%の範囲の濃度で存在する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記リン光エミッタが前記ホスト材料中に14〜25wt%の範囲の濃度で存在する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記ホスト材料が前記リン光エミッタとブレンドされている、請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 前記ホスト材料が前記リン光エミッタに結合している、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記ホスト材料がポリマーである、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記リン光エミッタが赤色エミッタである、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記リン光エミッタがIr錯体を含む、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記ホスト材料が青色ホスト材料である、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の組成物を含むパルス駆動発光デバイス。
- 請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の組成物を含む有機発光デバイス。
- 請求項11に記載の有機発光デバイスを含むパルス駆動ディスプレイ。
- 観察者の臨界融合周波数を超える周波数でディスプレイを駆動するための駆動手段をさらに含む、請求項12に記載のパルス駆動ディスプレイ。
