Abstract
【解決手段】封止エンクロージャ(1)は、コネクタ収容部(27)内にコネクタを緩く受容するので、電子通信又は光データ通信で使用される標準型のコネクタは、コネクタ収容部の前方端においてプラグ面(25)内で変位可能である。このため、コネクタは、相手エンクロージャに対する相手コネクタの位置の変動を補償できる。また、封止エンクロージャは、単一の移動でコネクタ収容部を封止し且つ封止エンクロージャを相手エンクロージャに係合させることができる。これは、内側本体(3)及び外側本体(5)間に介在するケーブルシール(7)による効果である。外側本体が前方へ移動して相手コネクタと係合すると、ケーブルシールはケーブル(11)及び内側本体間に圧迫され、内側本体の後方端でコネクタ収容部を封止する。

Claims (15)
- ケーブル(11)上のコネクタ(13)用の封止エンクロージャ(1)であって、
前記ケーブルを封止係合するよう構成されたケーブルシール(7)と、
前記コネクタを受容するよう構成されると共に少なくとも後方端(21)で開放するコネクタ収容部(27)を有し、前記ケーブルシールが前記コネクタ収容部の後方端に配置された内側本体(3)と、
前方位置まで前記内側本体の上を摺動するよう構成された外側本体(5)と
を具備し、
前記外側本体は、該外側本体が前記前方位置にある場合に相手エンクロージャ(62)に前記封止エンクロージャを軸方向に固定するよう構成された少なくとも1個のロック部材(57)を具備する封止エンクロージャにおいて、
前記前方位置では、前記外側本体は前記ケーブルシールを超えて後方(R)に延び、前記ケーブルシールは前記外側本体により圧縮されることを特徴とする封止エンクロージャ。 - 前記封止エンクロージャは、前記ケーブルの一端(12)に実装された前記コネクタを有し、
前記コネクタは、前記コネクタ収容部の少なくとも前方部(29)内に緩く受容されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の封止エンクロージャ。 - 前記コネクタは、前後方向(14)と直交する方向に前記内側本体に対して変位可能に受容されることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の封止エンクロージャ。
- 前記コネクタは、前記前後方向に前記内側本体に対して変位可能に受容されることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のうちいずれか1項記載の封止エンクロージャ。
- ケーブル(11)の一端(12)に実装されるよう構成されたコネクタ(13)と、
前記ケーブルを受容するよう構成されると共に、前方端(23)でプラグ面(25)に開放するコネクタ収容部(27)を有する内側本体(3)と、
前記内側本体を取り囲むと共に該内側本体に対して移動可能な外側本体(5)と
を具備する封止エンクロージャ(1)において、
前記外側本体は、該外側本体が前記前方位置にある場合に相手エンクロージャ(62)に前記封止エンクロージャを軸方向に固定するよう構成された少なくとも1個のロック部材(57)を具備する封止エンクロージャにおいて、
前記コネクタは、前記プラグ面に緩く受容されることを特徴とする封止エンクロージャ。 - 前記内側本体は、該内側本体の後方端に、ケーブルシールを受容するよう構成されると共に前記ケーブルシールの周囲の半径方向に圧縮される構成されたクランプ部(19)を具備することを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のうちいずれか1項記載の封止エンクロージャ。
- 前記クランプ部は前記後方に開放することを特徴とする請求項6記載の封止エンクロージャ。
- 前記クランプ部は、前記内側本体から前記後方に突出する、半径方向に可撓である舌片(41)を具備することを特徴とする請求項6又は7記載の封止エンクロージャ。
- 前記外側本体は、前記後方へ傾斜する壁(52)を具備し、
前記壁は、前記ケーブルシールの周囲で前記クランプ部を圧縮することを特徴とする請求項6ないし8のうちいずれか1項記載の封止エンクロージャ。 - 前記内側本体及び前記外側本体間に延びる空間(10)が、前記外側本体の前記前方位置にある前記ケーブルシールにより、前記外側本体の後方端(50)で封止されていることを特徴とする請求項1ないし9のうちいずれか1項記載の封止エンクロージャ。
- 部品(85)のケーブル(11)との接続部を封止するための封止組立体(84)であって、
前記接続部はコネクタ(13)を具備し、
前記封止組立体は、封止エンクロージャ(1)及び相手エンクロージャ(62)を具備し、
前記相手エンクロージャは、前記部品に封止実装されるよう構成されたフランジ(79)を具備する封止組立体において、
前記封止エンクロージャは、請求項1ないし10のうちいずれか1項記載の封止エンクロージャであることを特徴とする封止組立体。 - 前記封止エンクロージャは、前記コネクタ収容部の前記前方端又は前記コネクタ収容部自体、並びに前記内側本体及び前記外側本体間の前記空間を取り囲むシール面(31,60)で前記相手エンクロージャと封止係合することを特徴とする請求項11記載の封止組立体。
- 封止エンクロージャ(1)及び相手エンクロージャ(62)からなる封止組立体(84)によりコネクタ(13)の部品(85)との接続部を封止する方法であって、
ケーブル(11)の上に外側本体(5)、ケーブルシール(7)及び内側本体(3)を摺動させる工程と、
前記ケーブルに前記コネクタを実装する工程と、
前記内側本体を前記相手エンクロージャに結合させる工程と
を具備する封止方法において、
前記外側本体は、該外側本体を前記相手エンクロージャに結合しロックするために、前記内側本体の上を前方(F)に前方位置へ摺動し、これにより、前記ケーブルシールが自動的に締め付けられると共にコネクタ収容部(27)が後方端(21)で封止されることを特徴とする封止方法。 - 前記ケーブルシールが半径方向に圧縮されるのに対し、前記外側本体は前記前方位置へ摺動することを特徴とする請求項13記載の封止方法。
- 前記内側本体が前記相手エンクロージャに結合すると、前記コネクタは前記コネクタ収容部に緩く受容されることを特徴とする請求項13又は14記載の封止方法。
