Abstract
【解決手段】少なくとも導電性を有する軸体の外周上に弾性層を備える導電性ローラに用いられる導電性ローラ用ゴム組成物であり、前記弾性層が、2元系エピクロルヒドリンゴムを含有し、キノキサリン系加硫剤及びトリアジン系加硫剤を含まず、少なくとも硫黄を含む加硫剤を含有するゴム組成物を含む。

Description
図1は、本実施形態に係る帯電ローラを備える帯電装置の一例の概略構成を示した側面図である。また、図2は、本実施形態に係る帯電ローラを備える帯電装置の一例の概略構成を示した正面図である。図1の帯電装置1は、画像形成装置に備えられる像保持体の表面を帯電させる帯電部材であって、軸中心に回転する円筒状の帯電部材である帯電ローラ10と、帯電ローラ10に接触して帯電ローラ10の表面を清掃するための帯電部材清掃部材であるクリーニングローラ12とを備える。帯電ローラ10は、導電性軸体14と、導電性軸体14の外周に形成された帯電層16とを備える導電性ローラである。帯電層16は、導電性の弾性層を有し、必要に応じて表面層等が形成されたものである。クリーニングローラ12は、芯体18と、芯体18の外周に形成された円筒状の弾性層20とを備える。
本発明の実施形態に係るプロセスカートリッジは、像保持体と、像保持体の表面を帯電させる上記帯電ローラとを備える。本実施形態のプロセスカートリッジは、必要に応じて、帯電部材を清掃するための帯電部材清掃部材と、帯電した像保持体の表面に潜像を形成する潜像形成手段と、像保持体の表面に形成された潜像をトナーにより現像してトナー像を形成する現像手段と、像保持体の表面に形成されたトナー像を被転写体に転写する転写手段と、転写後の像保持体表面を清掃する像保持体清掃手段とからなる群より選択される少なくとも一種を備えていてもよい。
本発明の実施形態に係る画像形成装置は、像保持体と、像保持体の表面を帯電させる上記帯電部材と、像保持体の表面に潜像を形成する潜像形成手段と、像保持体の表面に形成された潜像をトナーにより現像してトナー像を形成する現像手段とを備える。本実施形態の画像形成装置は、必要に応じて、帯電部材を清掃するための帯電部材清掃部材と、像保持体の表面に形成されたトナー像を被転写体に転写する転写手段と、転写後の像保持体表面を清掃する像保持体清掃手段とからなる群より選択される少なくとも一種を備えていてもよい。また、本実施形態に係る画像形成装置は、上記プロセスカートリッジを使用するものであってもよい。
<ゴム材料(未加硫)の作製>
表2,3に示した実施例1〜14及び比較例1〜2からなるゴム配合物に対して、接線式加圧ニーダー((株)モリヤマ製:実容量75L)を用いて混練を行った。加圧ニーダーのジャケット、加圧蓋、ローターを循環水により20℃にする。加圧蓋の圧力を0.6MPaでエピクロルヒドリンゴムを素練りし、酸化亜鉛を混練後、ステアリン酸及びカーボンを投入混練し、イオン導電剤、炭酸カルシウム及び液状アクリロニトリル−ブタジエンゴムを投入、混練しゴム材料を得た。22インチオープンロールでシート状に切り出し冷却後、再び加圧ニーダーで上記加硫剤、加硫促進剤とゴム材料を混練し、22インチオープンロールでシート状に切り出し未加硫ゴム材料を得た。なお、表1〜3において、各成分の配合割合はすべて質量部基準である。
前記未加硫ゴムを東洋精機株式会社製ムーニースコーチMV−300(L型ロータ使用)でムーニー粘度が5pt、35pt上昇する時間(単位:分)をそれぞれ測定した。結果を表2,3に示す。試験方法は、JIS K6300−1に準拠する。
ブラベンダー社製押出機でガーベダイ(ASTM D2230準拠)押出試験を行いスウェルと気泡の発生状態、30°のエッジの連続性と鋭さ、表面肌の連続性、30°エッジ以外の角の鋭さと連続性について4点法で評価した。結果を表2,3に示す。なお、押出機の条件は、以下の通りである。
温度条件:シリンダー=70℃、ダイ=90℃、
ブラベンダー回転数:60rpm
押出成形後、ギアオーブン(エスペック社製パーフェクトオーブン)にて180℃で30分間加硫し、導電性ローラ用ゴム組成物を得た。
前記導電性ローラ用ゴム組成物につき、硬度計タイプC型(高分子計器社製)を用いてゴム硬度を測定した。長さ方向10点測定し、その平均値とした。結果を表2,3に示す。なお、表2,3における評価の基準は、以下の通りである。○:60〜90°、△:40〜60°、△−:20〜40°、×:0〜20°。
―弾性層の形成―
シリンダー内径D=60mm、L/D=20の1軸ゴム押出し機を用いてスクリュー回転25rpmで前記未加硫ゴム材料を押出すとともに、同時に前記芯金を連続的にクロスヘッドを通過させることにより、芯金上に未加硫ゴムを被覆した。押出し機の温度条件設定は、シリンダー部、スクリュー部、ヘッド部、ダイ部のいずれとも80℃とした。
表層分散液配合材料を下記表1に示す配合割合でビーズミルにて分散し得られた分散液を、メタノールで希釈し、表面層塗布液を得た。この塗布液を粘度調整した後、ディプ塗布槽へ注入した。その後、前記金型成形で得られた弾性層つき芯金を先に準備した塗布液入りディップ塗布槽に浸漬し、塗布液をコーティングして150℃で10分間乾燥して、溶剤を除去し、表面層を得た。
上述のようにして作製した、実施例1〜14及び比較例1〜2に示す組成を有する導電性ローラ用ゴム組成物を含む導電性ロールをそれぞれ、画像形成装置(カラー複写機DocuCentre Color400CP:富士ゼロックス社製)の帯電ローラとして使用した。
−実機評価−
上述の方法で作製された実施例および比較例の導電性ロールを帯電ロールとして図1に示すカラー複写機DocuCentre Color400CP:富士ゼロックス社製に装着し、カラー複写機DocuCentre Color400CP用のカラートナー(シアントナー、マゼンタトナー、イエロートナー、黒トナー)を用い、A4用紙50,000枚印字テスト(10℃、15%RH環境下で25,000枚印刷後、28℃、85%RH環境下で25,000枚印字)を行った。なお、途中で大きな問題が発生した場合には、その時点で印字を中止した。
○:極軽微な濃度ムラ発生。
△:軽微な濃度ムラ発生。
×:実使用不可の濃度ムラ発生。
Claims (13)
- 少なくとも導電性を有する軸体の外周上に弾性層を備える導電性ローラに用いられる導電性ローラ用ゴム組成物であり、
前記弾性層が、2元系エピクロルヒドリンゴムを含有し、キノキサリン系加硫剤及びトリアジン系加硫剤を含まず、少なくとも硫黄を含む加硫剤を含有するゴム組成物を含むことを特徴とする導電性ローラ用ゴム組成物。 - 前記2元系エピクロルヒドリンゴムが、エピクロルヒドリンとエチレンオキサイドとの共重合体であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の導電性ローラ用ゴム組成物。
- 前記硫黄を含む加硫剤が、少なくともチウラムスルフィド系加硫剤を含有することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の導電性ローラ用ゴム組成物。
- 液状アクリロニトリル−ブタジエンゴムをさらに含み、
前記2元系エピクロルヒドリンゴムと液状アクリロニトリル−ブタジエンゴムとの配合割合が、質量比で95:5から70:30の間であることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の導電性ローラ用ゴム組成物。 - イオン導電剤をさらに含有することを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の導電性ローラ用ゴム組成物。
- 前記イオン導電剤が第4級アンモニウム塩であり、前記2元系エピクロルヒドリンゴム100質量部に対し、0.5質量部以上15質量部以下の割合で含有されていることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の導電性ローラ用ゴム組成物。
- 前記2元系エピクロルヒドリンゴム100質量部に対し、0.5質量部以上20質量部以下の受酸剤をさらに含有することを特徴とする請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載の導電性ローラ用ゴム組成物。
- 未加硫の2元系エピクロルヒドリンゴム基材が、145℃におけるムーニースコーチのt5が5分以上30分以下、t35が10分以上50分以下である請求項1から7のいずれか1項に記載の導電性ローラ用ゴム組成物。
- 請求項1から8のいずれか1項に記載の導電性ローラ用ゴム組成物を有することを特徴とする導電性ローラ。
- 請求項1から8のいずれか1項に記載の導電性ローラ用ゴム組成物を有する導電性ローラと、前記導電性ローラの表面を清掃する清掃部材とを備えることを特徴とする帯電装置。
- 像保持体と、
請求項9に記載の導電性ローラと、
前記像保持体の表面に潜像を形成する潜像形成手段と、
前記像保持体の表面に形成された潜像をトナーにより現像してトナー像を形成する現像手段と、
前記像保持体の表面に形成されたトナー像を被転写体に転写する転写手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする画像形成装置。 - 像保持体と、前記像保持体を帯電させる帯電手段と、を備え、
前記帯電手段が、請求項9に記載の導電性ローラを含むことを特徴とするプロセスカートリッジ。 - 押出し機を用いて未加硫のゴム組成物を押出すとともに、連続的に該軸体を押出し機のクロスヘッドダイを通過させて、該軸体の外周上に未加硫の該ゴム組成物を配置せしめローラ形状にした後、加硫工程を経て製造されることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の導電性ローラの製造方法。
