Description
1.発明の分野
本発明の態様は、一般にバックアップ冷却装置に関する。特に、本発明の態様はモジュラ、及び主冷凍機の液体供給が稼働していないとき、液体供給を冷却することのできる、拡張性のあるバックアップ冷却貯蔵装置に関するものである。
関連技術の検討
複数のサーバ、及び複数のブレードサーバのような電子機器から発生する熱は、機器構成部品の性能、信頼性、及び耐用寿命に悪影響を及ぼすことがある。電子機器の処理をより早く、サイズをより小さく、より電力を消費するようになることで、これらの電子機器もまたより多く熱を発生するため、電子機器が確実に稼働するように、発生した熱を制御する温調節が一層重要となる。

Claims (52)
- バックアップ冷却貯蔵装置であって、主冷凍機の液体供給が稼働していないとき、多量の冷却材を使用する液体供給を冷却するように構成されている、少なくとも1つの冷却ユニット及び貯蔵ユニット;また、主冷凍機が稼働しているとき、少なくとも1つの冷却ユニット及び貯蔵ユニットのために多量の冷却材を生成するよう構成されている少なくとも1つの冷却部品を含む、バックアップ冷却貯蔵装置。
- 前記液体供給は、水を含む組成物、及びグリコールを含む組成物の少なくとも1つを含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記液体供給のパラメーターを監視するように構成した少なくとも1つのセンサーをさらに含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記液体供給の温度を監視するように構成される少なくとも1つの温度センサーを含む、請求項3に記載のシステム。
- 前記温度が、しきい値よりも大きいとき、少なくとも1つの前記冷却ユニット及び貯蔵ユニットが液体供給を冷却するように構成されている、請求項4に記載のシステム。
- 前記しきい値が華氏約48度である、請求項5に記載のシステム。
- 液体供給の圧力を監視するよう構成されている少なくとも1つの圧力センサーを含む、請求項3に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの前記冷却ユニット及び貯蔵ユニットが、前記圧力がしきい値よりも低いとき、前記液体を冷却するように構成されている、請求項7に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの前記冷却ユニット及び貯蔵ユニットが、多量の冷却素材を格納するよう構成されている、少なくとも1つの冷却材貯蔵タンクを含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 多量の冷却材が多量の冷却材の第1部分、及び多量の冷却材の第2部分を含み、前記第1部分は冷却材の液体部分であり、前記第2部分は冷却材の固体部分である、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1部部分が水を含み、及び前記第2部分が氷を含む、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの前記冷却材貯蔵タンクが複数の冷却材貯蔵タンクを含む、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの冷却材貯蔵タンクの各冷却材貯蔵タンクが、約15分から約30分の間で、約10キロワットから約15キロワットの間で液体供給を冷却することができる多量の冷却材を格納するように構成されている、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの前記冷却及び貯蔵ユニットが、少なくとも1つの冷却材貯蔵タンクを通って少なくとも液体供給の一部に向けるように構成され、熱が少なくとも液体供給の一部と多量の前記冷却材の間で転移する、少なくとも液体を転移する部品を含む、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの前記液体転移部品が、少なくとも1つの銅管を含む、請求項14に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの前記銅管が、少なくとも液体供給の一部と多量の冷却材の間で熱を転送するように構成されている複数の熱転送フィンを含む、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの前記冷却部品が、少なくとも1つの熱電気冷凍機を含む、請求項14に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの前記冷却部品が、前記液体供給の部分を冷却するために少なくとも1つの熱電気冷凍機を稼働することによって、また少なくとも1つの冷却ユニット及び貯蔵ユニットを通すために、前記液体供給の部分から、少なくとも1つの前記液体転移部品へ流すことによって、多量の冷却材を生成、及び維持するように構成されている、請求項17に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの前記熱電気冷凍機が、少なくとも1つの冷却及び貯蔵ユニット内に在る、水の氷結温度以下に、前記液体供給の部分を冷却するように構成されている、請求項18に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの前記冷却部品が、少なくとも前もって決められた多量の冷却材が凍結されているために、多量の前記冷却材を生成及び維持するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの前もって決められた量が、約90%の冷却材が凍っていることというような、前もって決められた量を含む、請求項20に記載のシステム。
- 前記冷却部品が、凍っている冷却材の最新の量を監視するように構成された冷却材監視部品を含む、請求項20に記載のシステム。
- 前記冷却材監視部品が、上方から多量の冷却材中に差し込まれ、多量の冷却材中にガス泡を放出するように形成されたエアレーション装置を含み、且つ、前記冷却材監視部品が、多量の冷却材にガス泡を放出するために使用される圧力に基づいて最新の量を決定するように構成されている、請求項22に記載のシステム。
- 前記バックアップ冷却装置が、少なくとも1つの冷却部品、及び少なくとも1つの冷却ユニット及び貯蔵ユニットを格納するように構成されている標準ラックをさらに含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記バックアップ冷却貯蔵装置がさらに、前記液体供給が前記バックアップ冷却貯蔵装置に供給され、及びバックアップ冷却貯蔵装置から排出される第1、及び第2液体連結部品を含み、前記第1、及び第2液体連結部品が、液体ベース冷却装置の標準液体連結部品である、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記バックアップ冷却貯蔵装置が、少なくとも1つの冷却量と他のバックアップ冷却貯蔵装置による冷却時間を測定するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記冷却装置は、液体供給を冷却するように構成されている主冷却ユニット、及び主冷却ユニットが稼働しているとき、冷却供給材に使用する多量の冷却材を発生、及び維持するように構成され、また主冷却部品が稼働していないときに、液体供給に使用する多量の冷却材を冷却するように構成されている、少なくとも1つのバックアップ冷却ユニットを含む。
- 前記液体供給は水を含む組成物、及びグリコールを含む組成物のうち少なくとも1つを含んでいる、請求項27に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの前記バックアップ冷却ユニットが、液体供給の温度がしきい値より低いとき、多量の冷却材を生成及び維持するように構成され、一方液体供給の温度がしきい値より高い場合、少なくとも1つの前記バックアップ冷却ユニットが液体供給を冷却するように構成されている、請求項27に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの前記バックアップ冷却ユニットが、多量の冷却材を格納するように構成されている少なくとも1つの貯蔵タンクを含む、請求項27に記載のシステム。
- 多量の前記冷却材が、前記冷却材の第1の部分の量、及び前記冷却材の第2の部分の量を含み、第1の部分は、前記冷却材の液体部分であり、第2の部分は、前記冷却材の固体部分である、請求項30に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1の部分は、水を含み、前記第2の部分は、氷を含む、請求項31に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの前記バックアップ冷却ユニットが、主冷却部品が稼働しているとき、少なくとも前記液体供給の一部をさらに冷却し、多量の冷却材を生成、及び維持するように構成された少なくとも1つの冷却機を含む、請求項27に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの前記冷凍機は、少なくとも1つの熱電気冷凍機を含む、請求項33に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの前記バックアップ冷却ユニットは、熱が、少なくとも1つの前記液体供給の一部と、多量の冷却材の間で移動するように、少なくとも1つの前記バックアップ冷却ユニットを通って、少なくとも液体供給の一部を制御するように構成されている少なくとも1つの液体制御部品を含む、請求項27に記載のシステム。
- 前記主冷却部品、及びバックアップ冷却ユニットが、更に液体供給を冷却装置に供給するように構成されている、請求項27に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの前記バックアップ冷却装置が少なくとも1つの標準ラックに収納されている、請求項27に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの前記冷却ユニットの各バックアップ冷却ユニットは、冷却時間にわたり冷却出力が発生するように構成されている、請求項27に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも1つの前記バックアップ冷却ユニットは、望ましい総冷却出力、及び望ましい総冷却時間に見合った氷貯蔵部品の望ましい台数を含む、請求項38に記載のシステム。
- 緊急冷却を供給する方法であって、A)主冷凍機が稼働しているときに、前記主冷凍機からの液体供給を使用して格納された多量の冷却材を維持するステップ、B)前記主冷凍機が稼働していないとき、前記格納された多量の冷却材を使用して液体供給を冷却するステップを含む、前記緊急冷却を供給する方法。
- 前記液体供給は少なくとも水を含む組成物、またはグリコールを含む組成物のうち1つを含む、請求項40に記載の方法。
- 前記A)が、少なくとも第1部分の多量の冷却材が氷結するステップ、及びついで多量の前記冷却材を冷却し、第1の部分の凍結状態を維持するステップを含む、請求項40に記載の方法。
- 前記凍った第1の部分は、氷を含み、そして凍っていない多量の前記冷却材の第2の部分は水を含む、請求項42に記載の方法。
- 前記A)は、標準ラックに収納された、冷却材の格納ユニットの中の冷却材の量を維持するステップを含む、請求項40に記載の方法。
- 前記A)は、格納した前記冷却材の量の少なくとも1つのパラメーターを監視するステップを含む、請求項44に記載の方法。
- 貯蔵された多量の冷却材の少なくとも1つのパラメーターを監視するステップが、前記貯蔵された冷却材中に少なくとも1つの泡を放出するように作用する圧力を監視するステップを含む、請求項45に記載の方法。
- 前記A)が、前記液体供給の一部を冷却するステップ、及び冷却材貯蔵ユニットを制御して、熱が前記冷却材の量と前記液体供給の間を伝導するステップを含む、請求項40に記載の方法。
- 前記A)は、前記液体供給の一部を熱電気的に冷却するステップを含む、請求項47に記載の方法。
- 前記B)は、前記冷却材貯蔵ユニットを通して前記液体供給の一部を制御して多量の冷却材と前記液体供給との間で熱が伝導するステップを含む、請求項40に記載の方法。
- C)前記主冷凍機が稼働しているかどうか決定するように前記液体供給を監視するステップ、をさらに含む、請求項40に記載の方法。
- 前記C)は、前記液体供給の温度、及び前記液体供給の圧力の少なくとも1つを監視することを含む、請求項50に記載の方法。
