Abstract

Claims (17)
- アクティブエアサスペンションと、
前記アクティブエアサスペンションとともに機能して、所望する車両の乗り心地およびハンドリング出力をもたらす適応性減衰システムと、
を含む車両用サスペンション。 - 前記アクティブエアサスペンションは、ピストンエアバッグと、前記ピストンエアバッグを囲んで取り付けられた主エアバッグとを有する少なくとも1つの空気ばねアセンブリを含み、前記少なくとも1つの空気ばねアセンブリはばね特性を有し、前記適応性減衰システムは、前記少なくとも1つの空気ばねアセンブリに連結された少なくとも1つのダンパを含み、前記少なくとも1つのダンパは減衰特性を有する、請求項1に記載の車両用サスペンション。
- 前記減衰特性および前記ばね特性の少なくとも一方を能動的に変えるための電気制御信号を生成する制御装置を含む、請求項2に記載の車両用サスペンション。
- 前記減衰特性には減衰係数が含まれ、前記ばね特性にはばね剛性が含まれ、前記制御装置は、前記ばね剛性の変動によって生じた所望しない振動を減衰させるのに必要な力を決定することで前記減衰係数を変える、請求項3に記載の車両用サスペンション。
- 前記制御装置は、ホイールおよびボディの振動を測定及び監視することで所望しない振動を特定し、前記制御装置は、前記ピストンエアバッグおよび主エアバッグ内の既知の圧力と、ばね剛性を圧力レベルと関連付ける参照テーブルとに基づいて、変化するばね剛性を間接的に決定する、請求項4に記載の車両用サスペンション。
- 前記減衰特性には減衰係数が含まれ、前記ばね特性にはばね剛性が含まれ、前記制御装置は、所望の減衰係数を維持するために前記ばね剛性を変える、請求項3に記載の車両用サスペンション。
- 前記アクティブエアサスペンションおよび前記適応性減衰システムは互いに独立して動作する、請求項3に記載の車両用サスペンション。
- 前記制御装置は、前記ばね特性を変えるための1つの電気制御信号セットと、前記減衰特性を変えるための別の電気制御信号セットとを送出する、請求項7に記載の車両用サスペンション。
- 前記制御装置は、前記ばね特性の変化に応じて、前記適応性減衰システムに送られる通知信号を生成し、前記適応性減衰システムは、前記通知信号に応じて、所定の異なるゲインスケジュールに切り替わる、請求項3に記載の車両用サスペンション。
- 前記少なくとも1つのダンパは、電気制御式ショックアブソーバを含む、請求項3に記載の車両用サスペンション。
- 前記少なくとも1つのダンパは、前記少なくとも1つの空気ばねアセンブリと概ね同心である、請求項3に記載の車両用サスペンション。
- 車両用サスペンションを制御する方法であって、
(a)ピストンエアバッグと、前記ピストンエアバッグを囲んで取り付けられた主エアバッグとを備え、ばね特性を有する少なくとも1つの空気ばねアセンブリを含むアクティブエアサスペンションを提供するステップと、
(b)前記少なくとも1つの空気ばねアセンブリに連結された少なくとも1つのダンパを備え、減衰特性を有する適応性減衰システムを、前記アクティブエアサスペンションと連携させるステップと、
(c)所望する車両の乗り心地およびハンドリング出力をもたらすために、前記減衰特性およびばね特性の少なくとも一方を能動的に変えるための電気制御信号を生成するステップと、
を含む方法。 - 前記減衰特性には減衰係数が含まれ、前記ばね特性にはばね剛性が含まれ、前記ばね剛性の変動によって発生した所望しない振動を減衰させるのに必要な力を決定することで、前記減衰係数を変えることを含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- ホイールおよびボディの振動を測定及び監視することで所望しない振動を特定し、前記ピストンエアバッグおよび主エアバッグ内の既知の圧力と、ばね剛性を圧力レベルと関連付ける参照テーブルとに基づいて、変化するばね剛性を間接的に決定することを含む、請求項12に記載の方法。

- 前記アクティブエアサスペンションおよび前記適応性減衰システムを互いに独立して動作させることを含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記ばね特性の変化に応じて、前記適応性減衰システムに送られる通知信号を生成すること、及び、前記通知信号に応じて、前記適応性減衰システムを所定の異なるゲインスケジュールに切り替えることを含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
