Claims (8)
- ハニカムフィルタにおける欠陥を検出する装置であって、
前記ハニカムフィルタの入口端面に微粒子を提供する微粒子源、
前記ハニカムフィルタの出口端面に近接して配置された透過性部材、および
該透過性部材を通して現れる微粒子を照明するために、前記透過性部材から隔離された光源、
を備えてなることを特徴とする装置。 - 前記透過性部材が、前記出口端面に接するスクリーンであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記透過性部材が反射防止表面を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記反射防止表面が、白色光源を利用した1から256までの目盛上で240未満の光度を示すことを特徴とする請求項3記載の装置。
- 前記反射防止表面が215未満の光度を示すことを特徴とする請求項4記載の装置。
- 前記反射防止表面が180未満の光度を示すことを特徴とする請求項5記載の装置。
- 前記スクリーンが暗い色調を有することを特徴とする請求項2記載の装置。
- ハニカム体における欠陥を検出する方法であって、
微粒子を含むガス流を前記ハニカム体の入口端面に提供し、
該ハニカム体の出口端面を出るガス流部分を、透過性部材を通して流し、そして
該透過性部材を出る微粒子の何れをも光源を用いて照明する、
諸ステップを含むことを特徴とする方法。
