この際、CH1.85は、例示的な還元剤、例えばディーゼル燃料を示し、この炭素と水素の割合を1.85とする。式(1)は、発熱の完全燃焼であって、これによって酸素を消費する。式(2)は、吸熱の蒸気改質である。式(3)は、水性ガスシフト反応であって、これは比較的に熱的に中立で、本開示内容ではそれほど重要ではなく、COとH2の双方とも再生に効果的である。
Claims (29)
- LNT(13)の脱硫酸方法であって、
前記LNT(13)を脱硫酸する期間内に排気流内に還元剤を噴射し、
第一装置(12)を通るように前記還元剤を流して、前記還元剤を前記排気内の酸素と反応させて、前記排気内の酸素のかなりの部分を消費させ、
前記LNT(13)を通るように前記排気を流して、
この際、前記還元剤の噴射は、一方はより長く、一方はより短い、二つの異なる時間スケール上で間欠的に行い、
前記各時間スケールの場合での間欠動作は、実質的に還元剤の噴射の無い期間と、実質的に還元剤の噴射のある期間の間のサイクルを含み、
前記より長い時間スケールの期間は、前記より短い時間スケールの対応する期間と比べて、平均で少なくとも約4倍長いことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記第一装置は、燃料改質装置(12)であり、
前記実質的に燃料を噴射するより長い時間スケールの期間は、夫々、前記改質装置(12)を加熱する期間を含み、
前記改質装置(12)の加熱は、ストイキオメトリーな燃料対酸素の割合か、これより下で、前記排気が残るような割合での燃料の噴射を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記より短い時間スケールでの還元剤の噴射の間欠動作は、前記第一装置(12)を過熱から防ぐように機能し、
前記より長い時間スケールでの間欠動作は、前記LNT(13)を過熱から防ぐように機能することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記LNT(13)を脱硫酸する期間を通じて、前記LNT(13)を少なくとも約500℃の温度に保つことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記還元剤は化石燃料であり、前記第一装置(12)は、前記第一装置(12)内で完全に燃焼されていない化石燃料のほとんどを改質油に変えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記LNT(13)は、実質的に還元剤の噴射の無い期間と実質的に還元剤の噴射がある期間にわたるより長い時間スケール上のサイクルで最大温度に達し、
前記最大温度は、この期間中に前記LNT(13)に入る排気の最大温度と比べて少なくとも約100℃より高いことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記LNT(13)の温度は、実質的に還元剤の噴射の無い期間と実質的に還元剤の噴射がある期間にわたるより長い時間スケール上のサイクルでピークから少なくとも約50℃冷却して、
前記LNT(13)は、実質的に還元剤の噴射がある期間の開始でピークの約25℃内にあることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記温度は、実質的に還元剤の噴射がある期間の少なくとも最初の約3秒間上昇することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記温度は、実質的に還元剤の噴射が無い期間にわたって少なくとも約40℃上昇することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記より短い時間スケールの間欠動作は、約0.1から約2秒の期間を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- LNT(13)の脱硫酸方法であって、
排気流内に還元剤を噴射し、
第一装置(12)を通るように前記還元剤を流して、前記還元剤の一部を前記排気内の酸素と反応させて、前記排気内の酸素のかなりの部分を消費させ、
前記LNT(13)を通るように前記排気を流して、
前記還元剤を噴射する段階と前記還元剤を噴射しない段階の間でサイクル化させ、
この際、前記LNT(13)の温度を、少なくとも前記還元剤を噴射しない期間のかなりの部分中で上昇させ、
前記温度を、各サイクルで少なくとも約50℃で変化させ、
前記温度を、一般的に、前記還元剤を噴射する段階の開始でピークの約25℃内にすることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記期間内の温度は、この期間中に前記LNT(13)に入る排気の最大温度と比べて少なくとも約100℃より高い最大値を含むことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記温度は、一般的に、前記還元剤を噴射しない段階の少なくとも最初の約3秒間上昇することを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記温度は、一般的に、前記還元剤を噴射しない段階中に少なくとも約40℃上昇することを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記還元剤は化石燃料であり、前記第一装置(12)は、前記第一装置(12)内で完全に燃焼されていない化石燃料のほとんどを改質油に変えることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。
- LNT(13)の脱硫酸方法であって、
排気流内に還元剤を噴射し、
第一装置(12)を通るように前記還元剤を流して、前記還元剤の一部を前記排気内の酸素と反応させて、前記排気内の酸素のかなりの部分を消費させ、
前記LNT(13)を通るように前記排気を流して、前記還元剤のさらなる一部か、この改質された生成物を反応させて前記LNT(13)をさらに加熱させ、
この際、前記LNT(13)内での反応によって十分な熱を生じさせて、前記LNT(13)に入る排気の最大温度よりも少なくとも約100℃上回るように前記LNT内の温度を上昇させることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記還元剤は化石燃料であり、前記第一装置(12)は、前記第一装置(12)内で完全に燃焼されていない化石燃料のほとんどを改質油に変えることを特徴とする請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記還元剤の噴射は、前記LNT(13)の温度を制御するためにパルス化されることを特徴とする請求項16に記載の方法。
- LNT(13)の上流に第一触媒(12)を有する排気後処理システム内のLNT(13)の脱硫酸方法であって、
前記第一触媒(12)の上流の排気に対するディーゼル燃料の供給を変化させることで最大を有する第一範囲内に前記LNT(13)の温度を制御し、この制御手段は、ディーゼル燃料の供給の二つのモードを有し、この第一モードでは、前記第一触媒(12)の温度を、最小と最大を有する第二範囲に調整するようにディーゼル燃料を供給することを含み、この第二モードでは、前記ディーゼル燃料の供給を実質的に終了させて、これによって前記第一装置(12)の温度を前記第二範囲の最小よりも低下させ、
この際、前記第一触媒(12)に入る排気内の前記ディーゼル燃料の少なくとも大部分を前記第一触媒(12)内で反応させることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記第一触媒(12)は、燃料改質装置(12)であり、
前記第一モードは、ストイキオメトリーな燃料対酸素の割合か、これより下で、前記排気が去る割合で燃料を噴射することで前記改質装置(12)を加熱する期間を有することを特徴とする請求項19に記載の方法。 - 前記LNT(13)の温度は、前記第一と第二のモードの間を選択的に変えることで制御されることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
- 前記第一触媒(12)の温度を制御するために、前記第一モード中、前記第一触媒(12)に対して前記ディーゼル燃料をパルス化して供給することを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
- 前記第一触媒(12)内で完全に燃焼されていない前記ディーゼル燃料の大部分を、改質油に変えることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
- 排気処理システム(7)内のLNT(13)の脱硫酸用の制御システムであって、
インナー及びアウターループ制御を有し、前記アウターループによって前記インナーループを制御し、
前記アウターループは、前記LNT(13)の温度制御用にフィードバック制御システムを有し、前記インナーループに命令を与えるように構成され、
前記インナーループは、燃料改質装置(12)の温度制御用にフィードバック制御システムを有し、前記排気に対する燃料の供給を制御することを特徴とする制御システム。 - 前記アウターループは、前記排気への燃料の供給を停止する結果となるように、命令を与えるように構成されることを特徴とする請求項24に記載の制御システム。
- 前記アウターループ制御は、前記停止に続き燃料の供給を再開始する結果となるように、命令を与えるように構成されることを特徴とする請求項25に記載の制御システム。
- 前記システムは、前記アウターループによる停止に続く燃料供給の再開始時に、前記改質装置(12)を加熱するように構成され、
前記改質装置(12)の加熱は、ストイキオメトリーな燃料対酸素の割合か、これより下で、前記排気が去る割合で燃料を供給することを含むことを特徴とする請求項26に記載の制御システム。 - 前記インナーループ制御は、前記改質装置の過熱を防ぐように、前記燃料の供給をパルス化するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項24に記載の制御システム。
- 前記インナーループ制御は、改質油を生成するモードを有し、このモードでは、前記アウターループから独立して前記改質装置(12)の温度を制御するが、前記改質油の生成用のモードから前記インナーループを外すように前記アウターループが命令を与える範囲を除くことを特徴とする請求項24に記載の制御システム。
