対し0.1〜10重量%のイオノマーとからなる圧力パイプ樹脂につき開示する。
Description
高分子量ポリエチレンフラクションは0.913〜0.923g/cm3の密度と0.02〜0.2g/10minのHLMIとを有する線状低密度ポリエチレンからなり;
低分子量ポリエチレンフラクションは少なくとも0.969g/cm3の密度と100g/10minより大のMI2とを有する高密度ポリエチレンからなり;
ここでg/cm3における樹脂の密度Dと低分子量フラクションの重量割合P1との間の関係は0.055P1+0.916<D<0.034P1+0.937である。
Xは30個までの非水素原子を有する中性η4結合ジエン基であり、これはMとのπ−錯体を形成し;
Yは−O−、−S−、−NR*−、−PR*−であり;
Mは+2フォーマル酸化状態におけるチタニウムもしくはジルコニウムであり;
Z*はSiR* 2、CR* 2、SiR* 2SiR* 2、CR* 2CR* 2、CR*=CR*、CR* 2SiR* 2もしくはGeR* 2であり、ここで:
R*はそれぞれ独立して水素またはヒドロカルビル、シリル、ハロゲン化アルキル、ハロゲン化アリールおよびその組合せから選択される一員であり、
前記R*は10個までの非水素原子を有し、更に必要に応じZ*からの2個のR*基(R*が水素でない場合)またはZ*からのR*とYからのR*基とは環系を形成する]
により示すことができる。
配合物の作成
イオノマー樹脂と3種のポリエチレン樹脂との配合物を作成した。イオノマー樹脂はエチレンおよび無水マレイン酸とのグラフトコポリマーの亜鉛塩とした。イオノマーの作成につき使用した基礎ポリエチレン樹脂は繊維級であって、典型的には944kg/m3の密度および3.5g/10minのMI2を有し、更に無水マレイン酸グラフトコポリマーは945kg/m3の密度と0.12g/10minのMI5と約9g/10minのHLMIとを有した。イオノマーの亜鉛含有量は48.9meq/kg[meq=ミリ等量]であって、約127%の理論中性化レベルに相当する。同様なイオノマーは商品名プリエックス(登録商標)としてソルベイSA社から入手することができる。
機械的試験につき、ペレットをプラックまで15℃/minにて圧縮成形した。
クリープ試験をその目的につき設計したフランク(製造業者)試験リグにて行ったが、装置の他の形態も適している。各クリープステーションには、歪み測定につき伸張計を装着し、これを温度制御室に置いた。クリープ試験試料(「ドッグボーン」の形状)を、約2mmの公称厚さを有する圧縮成形された矩形プラックから形成させた。ドッグボーン試験棒の寸法はISO 527−2に従った。プラックの圧縮成形条件はASTM D1928に従った。負荷前の試料の寸法に基づく目標応力を与えるよう固定負荷を計算し、これを直接的またはレバーアーム系を介して加えた。試験にて伸張計によりクリープ挙動を監視し、経時的な変形割合を特定温度および応力(樹脂Aにつき23℃/12MPa、樹脂Bにつき40℃/8.9MPa、樹脂Cにつき40℃/9.2MPa)にて記録した。3種の配合物の結果を図1〜3に示し、ここでは少量のイオノマーの添加が顕著な改善をもたらすと共に、改善はより大きいイオノマーレベルにて小となることが判る。
Claims (11)
- 樹脂の総重量に対し90〜99.9重量%のポリエチレンと、配合物の総重量に対し0.1〜10重量%のイオノマーとからなる圧力パイプ樹脂。
- マルチモダル、好ましくはバイモダルである請求項1に記載の圧力パイプ樹脂。
- (a)0.930g/cm3までの密度を有する35〜60重量%の高分子量フラクションおよび少なくとも0.965g/cm3の密度を有する40〜65重量%の低分子量フラクションからなるポリエチレン樹脂と
(b)配合物の総重量に対し0.1〜10重量%のイオノマーとの配合物から形成された請求項2に記載の圧力パイプ樹脂。 - 配合物におけるイオノマーの量が配合物の総重量に対し0.5〜6重量%、好ましくは1〜5重量%である請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の樹脂。
- 配合物におけるイオノマーの量が配合物の総重量に対し1〜2重量%である請求項4に記載の樹脂。
- イオノマーがポリエチレン骨格を有すると共に、少なくとも0.930g/cm3の密度を有する請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- イオノマーがエチレンと無水マレイン酸とのコポリマーのグラフト化金属塩である請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の樹脂。
- ポリエチレン樹脂が35〜49重量%の高分子量の第1ポリエチレンフラクションと51〜65重量%の低分子量の第2ポリエチレンフラクションとからなり、第1ポリエチレンフラクションが0.928g/cm3までの密度と0.6g/10min未満のHLMIとを有する線状低密度ポリエチレンからなり、第2ポリエチレンフラクションが少なくとも0.969g/cm3の密度と100g/10minより大のMI2とを有する高密度ポリエチレンからなり、ポリエチレン樹脂が0.940g/cm3より大の密度と1〜100g/10minのHLMIとを有する請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の樹脂。
- 請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の樹脂からなる圧力パイプ。
- ISO 9080に従い97.5%信頼レベルにて少なくとも10MPa(PE100)の外挿20℃/50年の応力を有する請求項9に記載の圧力パイプ。
- 圧力パイプにおける請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の樹脂の使用。
