Abstract
Description
本発明は、請求項1の上位概念記載の形式の内燃機関の排ガスを清浄にするためのフィルタエレメント及び請求項6記載のフィルタエレメントを備えた煤フィルタに関する。このような形式のフィルタエレメントは例えば、ディーゼル内燃機関の煤フィルタとして使用される。
本発明により、両端部で閉鎖されためくら通路をフィルタエレメントの外面に設けることにより、本発明のフィルタエレメントの内側の温度分布が改善される。このめくら通路は両側で閉じられているので排ガスによって貫流されない。これらの通路の内側には、断熱材として働く空気が存在している。これにより、フィルタエレメントの円柱状若しくは角柱状の外面における放熱は著しく減じられる。その結果、フィルタエレメントの周面における温度減少も著しく減じられ、これによりフィルタエレメントの内側における温度分布は改善される。さらに、本発明によるフィルタエレメントの加熱時間は短縮される。
図1には、煤フィルタ1が部分的に断面された側方図で示されており、この煤フィルタ1は、流入管路3と、ディフューザ5と、ケーシング7と、本発明によるフィルタエレメント9とを有している。
Claims (6)
- 煤をフィルタリングするための、特にディーゼル内燃機関の排ガスをフィルタリングするためのフィルタエレメントであって、排ガスの主流方向に対して平行に延びる長手方向軸線(25)を有しており、長手方向軸線(25)に対して平行に延びる複数の流入通路(21)と、長手方向軸線(25)に対して平行に延びる複数の流出通路(23)とを有しており、流入通路(21)はフィルタエレメント(9)の流入面(17)で始まっていて、フィルタエレメント(9)の流出面(19)で閉鎖されており、流出通路(23)は流入面(17)で閉鎖されていて、流出面(19)で終わっている形式のものにおいて、
フィルタエレメント(9)の外側に配置されためくら通路(27)が両端部で閉鎖されていることを特徴とする、煤をフィルタリングするためのフィルタエレメント。 - フィルタエレメント(9)の外径上に、両側で閉じられためくら通路(27)から成る層が5層まで、有利には3層まで設けられている、請求項1記載のフィルタエレメント。
- めくら通路(27)の最も内側に配置された層の内側に、流出通路(23)の層が配置されている、請求項1または2記載のフィルタエレメント。
- 隣接する2つの通路(21,23)及び/又はめくら通路(27)の間の半径方向に延びる壁が、互いにずらされて配置されている、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載のフィルタエレメント。
- フィルタエレメント(9)が、長手方向軸線(25)に関して回転対称的または中央対称的である、請求項1から4までのいずれか1項記載のフィルタエレメント。
- フィルタエレメント(9)を備えた煤フィルタであって、ケーシング(7)と、流入管路(3)と、流出管路と、流入管路(3)をケーシング(7)に接続するディフューザ(5)と、ケーシング(7)を流出管路に接続する円錐部(13)とを有している形式のものにおいて、
フィルタエレメントが、請求項1から5までのいずれか1項記載のフィルタエレメント(9)であることを特徴とする、フィルタエレメント(9)を備えた煤フィルタ。
