Abstract
発光層を簡便に作製でき、かつ高効率を実現できる有機発光表示装置を提供することにある。
【解決手段】
基板と、有機発光層と、前記有機発光層を挟持する上部電極及び下部電極とを有し、前記上部及び下部電極のいずれか一方が透明電極であり、他方は反射電極であり、前記有機発光層と基板の間に電荷輸送層を有し、該電荷輸送層は近紫外光より長い波長の光により、光硬化されていることを特徴とする有機発光表示装置にある。

Description
なお、比較例として、上記の実施例の正孔輸送層13に含まれる光重合開始剤を1−ヒドロキシーシクロヘキシルーフェニルーケトンに変更した。また、上記の正孔輸送層13の形成プロセスのうちの光硬化を、酸素存在下で250nm付近の紫外光(UV−C)を照射することにより行った。その結果、バンク表面の撥水性が劣化し、有機発光層14をインクジェット法で形成すると、バンク上にも有機発光層が形成され、不均一な膜しか得られなかった。

Claims (8)
- 基板と、有機発光層と、前記有機発光層を挟持する上部電極及び下部電極とを有し、
前記上部及び下部電極のいずれか一方が透明電極であり、他方は反射電極であり、
前記有機発光層と基板の間に電荷輸送層を有し、
該電荷輸送層は近紫外光より長い波長の光により、光硬化されていることを特徴とする有機発光表示装置。 - 基板と、有機発光層と、前記有機発光層を挟持する上部電極及び下部電極とを有し、
前記上部及び下部電極のいずれか一方が透明電極であり、他方は反射電極であり、
前記有機発光層と基板の間に電荷輸送層を有し、
該電荷輸送層は、オニウム塩類或いはトシレート類を含むことを特徴とする有機発光表示装置。 - 基板と、有機発光層と、
前記有機発光層を挟持する上部電極及び下部電極とを有し、
前記上部及び下部電極のいずれか一方が透明電極であり、他方は反射電極であり、
前記有機発光層有機発光層と基板の間に電荷輸送層を有し、
該電荷輸送層は、リン,硫黄或いはヨウ素の少なくともいずれかを含むことを特徴とする有機発光表示装置。 - 請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の有機発光表示装置において、
前記上部電極が透明電極であり、他方は反射電極であり、前記上部電極側より光が取り出されることを特徴とする有機発光表示装置。 - 請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載の有機発光表示装置において、
前記電荷輸送層は、Ti,Ce,Nd,Zrの少なくともいずれかの酸化物を含むことを特徴とする有機発光表示装置。 - 請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の有機発光表示装置において、
前記電荷輸送層はチタン化合物と親油性スメクタイトを含むことを特徴とする有機発光表示装置。 - 請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の有機発光表示装置において、
前記発光層は、表面に撥水性を有するバンク層により画素ごとに分離されていることを特徴とする有機発光表示装置。 - ガラス基板上に下部電極を形成し、該下部電極上に電荷輸送層を形成し、該電荷輸送層上に有機発光層を形成し、該有機発光層上に上部電極を形成する工程を有する有機発光表示装置の製造法において、
前記電荷輸送層の形成工程には、電荷輸送層材料に酸素を含む雰囲気で近紫外光以上の長い波長の光を照射し、前記電荷輸送層材料を硬化する工程を有することを特徴とする有機発光表示装置の製造法。
