Abstract
【解決手段】安定化次亜臭素酸ナトリウムと、5−クロロ−2−メチル−4−イソチアゾリン−3−オンおよび2−メチル−4−イソチアゾリン−3−オンの混合物とを組み合わせた組成物により微生物の増殖を阻害するための相乗的な効果を発揮させることが出来る。

Description
二つの殺生物剤の組み合わせは、二つの殺生物剤の累積したもしくは付加した効果を超えて拡大された効果を得る。これは、生き残らせ、そして増殖を維持するために、細胞のいくつかの必須の成分の相乗的な反微生物的な効果を反映するようである。相乗的である二つの殺生物剤の組み合わせは、微生物防除の望まれるレベルを達成するために、個々の殺生物剤の量より少ない量の添加量を可能とする。これは、環境に対しても、経済的にもインパクトを与える有利な点である。潜在的な環境汚染物質の添加量を減少させ、これら種々の工業的なシステムのためのより多くのコストに対して効果的な制御プログラムを可能とする。
窒素含有化合物と共に、二つの化合物の化学的な組み合わせを含む、次亜ハロゲン酸塩もしくは次亜ハロゲン酸として定義される。
本発明の効果は以下の方法によりテストされた。Pseudomonas aeruginosaは、L−ブロスにおいて一晩培養された。そして洗浄され、150ppmのカルシウムと、75ppmのマグネシウムと、pHが約8.0で110ppmのアルカリ度からなる無菌の合成の冷却水に再度懸濁された。アッセイのため、20mlの無菌の合成冷却水が各チューブに添加された。0.25mlの洗浄された細菌の懸濁液および示された量の殺生物剤が適当なテストチューブへ添加された。18時間の殺生物剤類との接触時間の後、細胞は順次希釈され、トリプトングルコース抽出アガー(Difco;デトロイト、MI)上にプレートされた。プレートは、37℃で24時間培養され、そして生存数が記載された。生存細菌数はコロニー形成ユニット(CFU/ml)として報告された。

実施例1に記載された方法が表2の結果を得るために用いられた。しかしながら、この実施例における接種材料は、米国の中西部の領域において操作される冷却塔から得られた冷却水細菌の混合生存数である。相乗効果が示された。

実施例1に記載された方法が表3の結果を得るために用いられた。サルファミック酸は殺生物剤として考慮されなかった。したがって、終点は決定されず、相乗効果は計算されなかった。これらのデータは、スルファミン酸とイソチアゾロン類との間には相乗効果が存在しないことを示す。

以下の方法は、表4の結果を得るための方法を利用した。試料の微生物Candida guillermondii(酵母)はL−ブロスにおいて一晩30℃で培養された。そして洗浄され、150ppmのカルシウムと、75ppmのマグネシウムと、110ppmのアルカリ度からなる無菌の合成の冷却水(pH8.0)に再度懸濁された。

処理剤の殺生物剤の能力もまた、パルプおよび製紙工程の混合細菌の生存数を用いてテストされた。混合された細菌の生存数を含むpH5.5のパルプもしくは紙の白い液のサンプルは、米国中西部のパルプおよび製紙工場から得た。実施例1で説明されたテストプロトコルが利用された。結果は表5に詳細に示されている。相乗効果が示された。

- 次亜臭素酸ナトリウムと、グルタルアルデヒド、2,2−ジブロモ−3−ニトリロプロピオンアミド、2−ブロモ−2−ニトロプロパン−1,3ジオール、1−ブロモ−1−(ブロモメチル)−1,3−プロパンジカルボニトリル、テトラクロロイソフタロニトリル、アルキルジメチルベンジルアンモニウムクロライド、ジメチルジアルキルアンモニウムクロライド、ポリ(オキシエチレン(ジメチルイミニオ)エチレン(ジエメチルイミニオ)エチレンジクロライド、メチレンビスチオサイアネート、2−デシルチオタンアミン、テトラキスハイドロキシメチルフォスフォニウムサルフェート、ジチオカーボネート、シアノジチオイミドカーボネート、2−メチル−5−ニトロイミダゾル−1−エタノール、2−(2−ブロモ−2−ニトロエテニル)フラン、ベータ−ブロモ−ベータ−ニトロスチレン、ベータ−ニトロスチレン、ベータ−ニトロビニルフラン、2−ブロモ−2−ブロモメチルグルタロニトリル、ビス(トリクロロメチル)スルフォン、S−(2−ハイドロキシプロピル)チオメタンスルフォネート、テトラハイドロ−3,5−ジメチル−2H−1,3,5−ヒドラジン−2−チオン、2−(チオシアノメチルチオ)ベンゾチアゾール、2−ブロモ−4’−ヒドロキシアセトフェノン、1,4−ビス(ブロモアセトキシ)−2−ブテン、ビス(トリブチルチン)オキサイド、硫酸銅、2−(tertブチルアミノ)−4−クロロ−6−(エチルアミノ)−s−トリアジン、ドデシルグアニジン、およびドデシルグアニジンハイドロクロライドからなる群から選択される化合物との組み合わせを有することを特徴とする、工業上の液体微生物の増殖を制御するための組成物。
