Abstract

10.金属スリーブは、チタニウム、ステンレス鋼、モネル(商標名)金属スリーブのうちの1つを具備している。
11.第1及び第2のコンポーネントは、炭素ファイバ複合コンポーネントを具備している。
12.複合構造は航空機の複合構造を具備している。
19.航空機の複合構造を組み立てるため複合コンポーネントを機械的に接合する方法は、
少なくとも一方は複合コンポーネントである第1のコンポーネントおよび第2のコンポーネントを提供し、
導電性の金属コンポーネントを提供し、
金属スリーブが第1及び第2のコンポーネントと導電性の金属コンポーネントと接触するように金属スリーブを第1及び第2のコンポーネントの穴に配置し、
複合リベットが金属スリーブを通して延在するように金属スリーブに複合リベットを配置し、
第1及び第2のコンポーネントを接合するため熱及び変形力を複合リベットに与え、それによって接合された第1及び第2のコンポーネントと導電性の金属コンポーネントが組み立てられた複合構造を形成するステップを含んでいる。
20.複合リベットはフルオロポリマー複合リベットで構成され、金属スリーブはチタニウム、ステンレス鋼、モネル(商標名)金属スリーブのうちの1つを具備している。

Claims (15)
- 少なくとも一方は複合コンポーネントである第1のコンポーネントおよび第2のコンポーネントを提供し、
各第1及び第2のコンポーネントのそれぞれに穴を形成し、
金属スリーブが第1及び第2のコンポーネントと接触するように金属スリーブを第1及び第2のコンポーネントの穴に配置し、
複合リベットを金属スリーブ中に配置し、
組み立てられた複合構造を形成するように熱および変形力を第1及び第2のコンポーネントを接合するために複合リベットに与えるステップを含んでいる複合コンポーネントを組み立てるためにコンポーネントを機械的に接合する方法。 - さらに、第1および第2のコンポーネントの穴を整列するステップを含んでいる請求項1記載の方法。
- 第1と第2のコンポーネントのそれぞれに穴を形成するステップにおいて、
第1と第2のコンポーネントのそれぞれに穴を穿孔するステップを含んでいる請求項1記載の方法。 - 第1と第2のコンポーネントの穴に金属スリーブを配置するステップおよび金属スリーブ中に複合リベットを配置するステップは、
金属スリーブと複合リベットを予め組み立て、
その予め組み立てられた金属スリーブと複合リベットを第1及び第2のコンポーネントの穴中に配置するステップを含んでいる請求項1記載の方法。 - さらに、導電性の金属コンポーネントを提供し、金属スリーブが第1及び第2のコンポーネントと接触するように、第1及び第2のコンポーネントの穴中に金属スリーブを配置し、
金属スリーブが第1及び第2のコンポーネントおよび導電性の金属コンポーネントと接触するように、第1及び第2のコンポーネントの穴中に金属スリーブを配置するステップを含んでいる請求項1記載の方法。 - 導電性の金属コンポーネントを提供するステップは、第1と第2のコンポーネント間に導電性の金属コンポーネントを設けるか、第1と第2のコンポーネントの少なくとも1つの層として導電性金属コンポーネントを設けるかの一方を行う請求項5記載の方法。
- 複合リベットはフルオロポリマー複合リベットで構成されている請求項1記載の方法。
- フルオロポリマー複合リベットはポリエーテルエーテルケトンフルオロポリマー複合リベットで構成されている請求項7記載の方法。
- 複合リベットはファイバ補強複合リベットで構成されている請求項1記載の方法。
- 複合リベットと、
複合リベットを囲んでいる金属スリーブとを具備している複合構造を組み立てるためにコンポーネントを機械的に接合するファスナ装置。 - 複合リベットはフルオロポリマー複合リベットで構成されている請求項10記載のファスナ装置。
- フルオロポリマー複合リベットはポリエーテルエーテルケトンフルオロポリマー複合リベットで構成されている請求項11記載のファスナ装置。
- 複合リベットはファイバ補強複合リベットで構成されている請求項10記載のファスナ装置。
- 金属スリーブはチタニウム、ステンレス鋼、モネル(商標名)金属スリーブのうちの1つを具備している請求項10記載のファスナ装置。
- 複合リベットと金属スリーブは予め組み立てられたファスナ装置を構成している請求項10記載のファスナ装置。
