Abstract

の混合物から構成されるゲル化剤を含み、式において、−C34H56+a−は不飽和および環状基を含んでもよい分枝アルキレン基を示し、aは0、1、2、3、4、5、6、7、8、9、10、11、または12の整数であり、上記第1化合物:第2化合物:第3化合物の混合物は約1:2:1のモル比である。ユニリン350−アクリラートワックス(必要に応じて2μmまで予め濾過する)は硬化性ワックスであった。インクキャリヤはSR9003、プロポキシル化ネオペンチルグリコールジアクリラート、反応モノマーとした。開始剤は、イルガキュア379、ダロクルITX、イルガキュア127、およびイルガキュア819とした。安定化剤は、イルガスタブUV10とした。重量%で表したインク組成は、ゲル化剤が7.5%、硬化性ワックスが5%、多官能性アクリラートモノマーが5%、光開始剤が9.5%、イルガスタブUV10が0.2%、顔料が3%であり、残りをSR9003とした。インクはキャリヤと、ワックスと、ゲル化剤とを90℃で2時間混合し、その後、溶液を85℃で0.22μmまで濾過することにより調製した。これらの溶液に、光開始剤パッケージおよび安定化剤を添加し、得られたインクベースを90℃で1時間撹拌した。得られた溶液を、90℃の顔料分散物の撹拌溶液に添加し、得られたインクを2時間90℃で撹拌した。裏側照射後、像のほとんど完全な硬化が観察され、放射線源および光開始剤を正しく選択すると、所望の基材上で裏側硬化が可能となることが証明された。
第1および第2の硬化ランプはUV硬化ランプであり、放射線硬化性インクはUV硬化性インクである、請求項1記載の装置。
Claims (2)
- 放射線硬化性インクを基材上に印刷するためのインク供給部と、
前記基材の印刷面側とは反対の基材の側に配置され、前記放射線硬化性インクを部分的に硬化する第1の放射線硬化ランプと、
前記基材の前記印刷面と同じ基材の側に配置された第2の放射線硬化ランプと、
を備えるインク印刷装置。 - 基材上に放射線硬化性インクを堆積させる工程と、
前記基材の印刷面側と反対の基材の側を照射することにより、前記インクの下側を部分的に硬化する工程と、
前記基材の印刷面側と同じ基材の側を照射することにより、前記インクを実質的に完全に硬化する工程と、
を含む、放射線硬化性インクで印刷した基材を形成するためのプロセス。
