Abstract
【解決手段】本発明における液晶表示装置は、第1,第2の基板間に液晶を挟持した液晶表示装置であって、第1の基板30は、薄膜トランジスタ4を備えるアクティブマトリクス構造の基板であり、第2の基板40は、カラーフィルタ9、カラーフィルター9の所定の領域上に配設した先端に導電膜14を形成する突起部13、を備える基板である。

Description
図1は、本発明における液晶表示装置1のTFT基板30の構成を示した図である。本実施の形態では、液晶表示装置1は、液晶に印加する電界の方向を基板に対して平行な方向とするIPS駆動方式とする。TFT基板30上に複数の平行なゲート配線2とソース配線3が交差するように形成され、交差部にはスイッチング素子として薄膜トランジスタ4(Thin Film Transistor:TFT)が形成されている。薄膜トランジスタ4には、ドレイン配線5が接続されており、このドレイン配線5には、ソース配線3と平行に設けられた複数の配線よりなる櫛状の平面駆動用の画素配線部(ドレイン配線6)がコンタクト部7で接合されている。最表面にはドレイン配線6と平行かつ交互に配置された複数の配線よりなる櫛状のコモン配線8が形成されている。
Claims (6)
- 第1,第2の基板間に液晶を挟持した液晶表示装置において、
前記第1の基板は、薄膜トランジスタを備えるアクティブマトリクス構造の基板であり、
前記第2の基板は、カラーフィルタ、前記カラーフィルターの所定の領域上に配設した先端に導電膜を形成する突起部、を備える基板である、液晶表示装置。 - 前記第1の基板は、表面に絶縁膜を有するソース配線およびゲート配線をさらに備え、
前記第2の基板は、対向する前記ソース配線およびゲート配線と重なる領域に前記突起部を配設する請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記第1の基板は、少なくとも一方の表面に絶縁膜を有するドレイン配線およびコモン配線をさらに備え、
前記第2の基板は、対向する前記ドレイン配線とコモン配線に跨って重なる領域に前記突起部を配設する請求項1または2に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の液晶表示装置を準備する工程と、
前記液晶表示装置の第1の基板側から前記突起部にレーザーを照射して、前記レーザーを照射された位置の前記第1の基板上の配線と前記突起部を導通状態にするレーザー照射工程と、を備えた液晶表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記液晶表示装置は請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置であって、
前記ソース配線またはゲート配線に断線が生じた場合、
前記レーザー照射工程は、前記断線部を挟み込む位置の突起部にレーザーを照射する請求項4に記載の液晶表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記液晶表示装置は請求項3に記載の液晶表示装置であって、
前記液晶表示装置の画素が輝点欠陥となった場合、
前記レーザー照射工程は、前記輝点欠陥となった画素の前記ドレイン配線と対向する位置の突起部、かつ前記コモン配線と対向する位置の突起部にレーザーを照射する請求項4または5に記載の液晶表示装置の製造方法。
