Abstract

Claims (11)
- 液晶ディスプレイ装置であって、
液晶分子を含む液晶層、
共通電極、及び
前記共通電極と前記電極セットとの間に設置される前記液晶層をスイッチングする電極セットを含み、前記電極セットは、
前記液晶層の第1領域のスイッチングに提供される第1電極、及び
前記液晶層の第2領域のスイッチングに提供される第2電極を含み、
前記第2領域は、
前記第1領域を含まない前記液晶層の少なくとも一部の領域を含み、前記第1電極は、前記第2電極と対応した形状を有して、液晶分子の配向を実質的に2つの直交方向に配向させる液晶ディスプレイ装置。 - 前記第1電極は、十字状を有する請求項1に記載の液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記第1電極は、十字状と長方形状の組み合わせに対応した形状を有し、前記十字状と長方形状の中心は、重複する請求項1に記載の液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記第2電極は、前記第1電極の少なくとも一部に重複する開口を有する請求項2に記載の液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記共通電極は、前記第1電極の少なくとも一部に重複する開口を有する請求項2に記載の液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記第1電極と前記第2電極は、実質的に前記液晶層の全領域を共同して覆う請求項1のいずれかに記載の液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記第1電極と前記第2電極は、同一平面上に位置される請求項1のいずれかに記載の液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記第1電極と前記第2電極は、誘電体層によって分割される請求項1のいずれかに記載の液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記液晶ディスプレイ装置は、前記第1電極と前記第2電極を駆動するドライバユニットを更に含み、前記第1電極と前記第2電極は、異なる電圧で駆動される請求項1のいずれかに記載の液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記液晶ディスプレイ装置は、2つまたは2つ以上の断面を含み、前記共通電極と前記第1と第2電極は、前記液晶分子の配向を実質的に2つの直交方向で前記1つまたは1つ以上の断面のそれぞれに延伸させ、その中の前記2つまたは2つ以上の断面の前記第1電極の形状と/または方位は異なる請求項1のいずれかに記載の液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 請求項1に記載の液晶ディスプレイ装置、及び
前記LCD装置に接続され、前記LCD装置に電力を供給する電力供給装置を含む電子装置。
