Claims (10)
- 液晶ディスプレイ装置であって、
液晶分子を含む液晶層、
共通電極、及び
前記共通電極と当該電極セットとの間に設置される前記液晶層をスイッチングする電極セットを含み、
前記電極セットは、
前記液晶層の第1領域のスイッチングに提供される第1電極、及び
前記液晶層の第2領域のスイッチングに提供される第2電極
を含み、
前記第2領域は、前記第1領域を含まない前記液晶層の少なくとも一部の領域を含み、前記第1電極は、前記第2電極と協働して前記液晶分子の配向を実質的に2つの直交方向に配向させる形状を有し、前記第1電極は、十字状と長方形状との組み合わせの形状を有し、前記十字状と長方形状の中心は重複する、
液晶ディスプレイ装置。 - 前記第2電極は長方形状を有する請求項1に記載の液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記第1電極と前記第2電極は共同して、前記液晶層内に画成される画素セルの実質的に全領域を覆う請求項1に記載の液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 前記第1電極と前記第2電極は、誘電体層によって分離される請求項1に記載の液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 当該液晶ディスプレイ装置は、前記第1電極と前記第2電極を駆動するドライバユニットを更に含み、前記第1電極と前記第2電極は、異なる電圧で駆動される請求項1に記載の液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 当該液晶ディスプレイ装置は、2つ以上の区画を含み、前記共通電極と前記第1電極と前記第2電極は、前記2つ以上の区画のそれぞれにおいて前記液晶分子の配向を実質的に2つの直交方向に配向させることを可能にするよう延在し、前記2つ以上の区画で前記第1電極の形状及び/又は方位が異なる請求項1に記載の液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 当該液晶ディスプレイ装置は透過型液晶ディスプレイ装置であり、互いに直交する分極軸を有する直線偏光子が当該液晶ディスプレイ装置の両外面にそれぞれ設置されている、請求項1に記載の液晶ディスプレイ装置。
- 請求項1に記載の液晶ディスプレイ装置、及び
前記液晶ディスプレイ装置に接続され、前記液晶ディスプレイ装置に電力を供給する電力供給装置、
を含む電子装置。 - 液晶ディスプレイ装置であって、
液晶分子を含む液晶層、
共通電極、及び
前記共通電極と当該電極セットとの間に設置される前記液晶層をスイッチングする電極セットを含み、
前記電極セットは、
第1の中心に関して2つの直交方向に対称的に延在する第1形状を有する第1電極であり、前記液晶層の画素の第1領域のスイッチングに提供される第1電極、及び
第2の中心に関して2つの直交方向に対称的に延在する第2形状を有する第2電極であり、前記液晶層の前記画素の第2領域のスイッチングに提供される第2電極
を含み、
前記第2領域は、前記第1領域を含まない前記液晶層の前記画素の少なくとも一部の領域を含み、前記第1電極の前記第1形状は、前記第2電極の前記第2形状と協働して2つの実質的に直交する方向での前記液晶分子の配向を可能にし、前記第1形状は十字状と長方形状との組み合わせであり、前記十字状と長方形状の中心は平面図において重複する、
液晶ディスプレイ装置。 - 前記第2形状は長方形状である、請求項9に記載の液晶ディスプレイ装置。
