Claims (22)
- 第1電源として第1高電圧および第1低電圧を供給する第1電源供給部と、
第2電源として第2高電圧および第2低電圧を供給する第2電源供給部と、
標準表示モードには、前記第1電源供給部から前記第1電源が供給され、低電力表示モードでは前記第2電源供給部から前記第2電源が供給される有機電界発光表示パネルと、
を含むことを特徴とする有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第1電源供給部と前記有機電界発光表示パネルとの間に第1高電圧が印加されることを遮断する第1スイッチング素子と、
前記第1電源供給部と前記有機電界発光表示パネルとの間に第1低電圧が印加されることを遮断する第2スイッチング素子と、
をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第1スイッチング素子と前記第2スイッチング素子のオン/オフを制御する信号は、前記第2電源供給部から印加されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第2電源供給部から印加される前記第2電源である第2高電圧と第2低電圧の差は、前記第1電源供給部から印加される前記第1電源である第1高電圧と第1低電圧の差より小さいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第2電源供給部は、前記有機電界発光表示パネルの表示モードが前記標準表示モードであるか、または前記低電力表示モードであるかを判断するモード判断部と、
前記モード判断部によって前記標準表示モードに判断される場合は前記第1電源供給部を動作させ、低電力表示モードに判断される場合は前記第2電源供給部を動作させる電源制御部と、
前記電源制御部の制御によって初期電源が印加されて前記第2電源を生成する電源生成部と、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記電源制御部は、前記第1電源供給部を動作させるとき場合には前記第2電源供給部の動作を停止させ、前記第2電源供給部を動作させるとき場合には前記第1電源供給部の動作を停止させることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記電源生成部は、前記印加された初期電源を昇圧して前記第2高電圧を出力する昇圧部と、
前記印加された初期電源を減圧して前記第2低電圧を出力する減圧部と、
を含んでなることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第2電源供給部は、前記第2高電圧が印加されて前記有機電界発光表示パネルに出力される映像のガンマ値を補正するガンマ補正部をさらに含んでなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第2低電圧は、前記有機電界発光表示パネルの画素に印加されて画素の容量性素子に保存された電圧を初期化させる初期化電圧であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第2低電圧は、前記有機電界発光表示パネルに印加される接地電圧を用いることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第2電源供給部は、前記有機電界発光表示パネルと同一な基板に形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 有機電界発光表示パネルの現在のフレームの表示モードが直前のフレームの表示モードと同一であるかを比べる表示モード比較段階と、
前記表示モードが変更された場合、標準表示モードから低電力表示モードに変更されたか、または低電力表示モードから標準表示モードに変更されたかを判断する表示モード判断段階と、
前記表示モード判断段階で前記標準表示モードから前記低電力表示モードに変更される場合、前記表示モード判断段階の後に前記有機電界発光表示パネルに第2電源を供給するために第2電源供給部の電源生成部をターンオンさせる第2電源供給段階と、
前記有機電界発光表示パネルに第1電源の供給を遮断するために第1電源供給部と第1スイッチング素子及び第2スイッチング素子をターンオフさせる第1電源遮断段階と、
を含むことを特徴とする有機電界発光表示装置の電源供給方法。 - 前記第2電源供給段階は、前記第2電源供給部の前記電源生成部に第2イネーブル信号を印加し、前記電源生成部をターンオンさせることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の電源供給方法。
- 前記第1電源遮断段階は、前記第1電源供給部をターンオフさせる第1電源供給部オフ段階と、
前記第1スイッチング素子と前記第2スイッチング素子にスイッチング信号を印加して前記第1スイッチング素子と前記第2スイッチング素子をターンオフさせるスイッチング素子オフ段階と、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の電源供給方法。 - 前記スイッチング素子オフ段階は、前記第1電源供給部オフ段階の後に一フレームのデータ信号が前記有機電界発光表示パネルに印加された後に進行されることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の電源供給方法。
- 前記一フレームのデータ信号は、ブラック映像のデータ信号であることを特徴とする請求項15に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の電源供給方法。
- 前記第2電源供給段階と前記第1電源遮断段階は、前記有機電界発光表示装置に同期信号が印加され、前記有機電界発光表示パネルにデータ信号が印加される期間以外の期間に行われることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の電源供給方法。
- 前記表示モード判断段階で、前記低電力表示モードから前記標準表示モードに変更される場合、前記表示モード判断段階以後に前記有機電界発光表示パネルに第1電源を供給するために第1電源供給部をターンオンさせる第1電源供給段階と、
前記有機電界発光表示パネルに第2電源が供給されることを遮断するために第2電源供給部の電源生成部をターンオフさせる第2電源遮断段階と、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の電源供給方法。 - 前記第1電源供給段階は、前記第1電源供給部に第1イネーブル信号を印加し、前記第1電源供給部をターンオンさせる第1電源供給部オン段階と、
前記第1スイッチング素子と前記第2スイッチング素子にスイッチング信号を印加して前記第1スイッチング素子と前記第2スイッチング素子をターンオンさせるスイッチング素子オン段階と、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項18に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の電源供給方法。 - 前記スイッチング素子オン段階は、前記第1電源供給部オン段階の後に一フレームのデータ信号が前記有機電界発光表示装置に印加された後に行われることを特徴とする請求項19に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の電源供給方法。
- 前記一フレームのデータ信号は、ブラック映像のデータ信号であることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の電源供給方法。
- 前記第1電源供給段階と前記第2電源遮断段階は、前記有機電界発光表示装置に同期信号が印加され、前記有機電界発光表示パネルにデータ信号が印加される期間以外の期間に行われることを特徴とする請求項18に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の電源供給方法。
