Abstract
Description
本発明には、(a)少なくとも60wt%の乾燥剤、10wt%以下の湿潤化剤、5wt%以下の加工助剤、及び10〜30wt%の熱硬化性樹脂を含む組成物をブレンドするブレンド工程;
(b)工程(a)でブレンドされた組成物を製品又は付形物へと形成する付形工程;そして
(c)工程(b)で得られた製品又は付形物を加熱して樹脂を架橋させる加熱工程
を含む、乾燥剤製品を形成する方法が含まれる。
本発明は、タブレットやバー(bar)のような付形物や他の寸法的に安定な製品へとプレス加工可能であるか又はモルド成形可能であり、次いで硬化させて寸法安定性製品を形成することができる、モルド成形可能な乾燥剤材料を提供する。この硬化された製品は、高温で加熱することにより、製品や付形物の損傷や変形なしに活性化させることができ、用いることができ、そして再活性化させることができる。本発明のこの側面は熱硬化性樹脂を結合剤として用いることにより達成される。この熱硬化性樹脂は硬化中に架橋して、その形態の物理的形状や特性を維持しながら高温で活性化及び再活性化できる形態でその中の乾燥剤を結合する。
実施例1
次のものを実験用ブレンド機内で混合した:830gの3Aモレキュラーシーブパウダー;210gのフェノール樹脂、即ちDurez樹脂29-733;20gのSterotex植物油;及び100gのイソプロピルアルコール。このブレンド物は以下に示すブレンドのように良好に流動しなかったが、本発明に従った構成であり、意図するプロセスにとって流動性が適切であれば用いることができる。
次のものを実験用ブレンド機内で混合した:830gの3Aモレキュラーシーブパウダー;159gのフェノール樹脂、即ちDurez樹脂29-733;20gのSterotex植物油;100gのイソプロピルアルコール;及び53gの4Aモレキュラーシーブパウダー。このブレンド物は良好に流動した。このブレンド物で製品を形成した。
次のものを実験用ブレンド機内で混合した:415gの3Aモレキュラーシーブパウダー;75gのフェノール樹脂、即ちDurez樹脂29-733;10gのSterotex植物油;及び100gの4Aモレキュラーシーブ。
Claims (11)
- 乾燥剤製品を形成する方法であって:
(a)少なくとも60wt%の乾燥剤
10wt%以下の湿潤化剤、
5wt%以下の加工助剤、及び
10〜30wt%の熱硬化性樹脂
を含んでなる組成物をブレンドするブレンド工程;
(b)工程(a)でブレンドされた組成物を製品又は付形物へと形成する付形工程;及び、
(c)工程(b)の製品又は付形物を加熱して該樹脂を架橋させる加熱工程
を含んでなる方法。 - 加熱工程(c)が、該樹脂を架橋して該乾燥剤を活性化させるのに十分な時間、該製品又は付形物を加熱することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ブレンド工程(a)が、乾燥剤としてモレキュラーシーブを添加することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ブレンド工程(a)が、3A、4A、5A、10Aのモレキュラーシーブパウダー及びそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択されるサイズを有するモレキュラーシーブパウダーである乾燥剤を添加することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 該湿潤化剤がイソプロプルアルコールである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 該熱硬化性樹脂が、フェノール樹脂、アルキド樹脂、アミノ樹脂、ポリエステル樹脂、エポキシド樹脂、メラミン樹脂、尿素−ホルムアルデヒド樹脂、フェノール−ホルムアルデヒド樹脂、ポリウレタン樹脂、及びシリコン樹脂からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 該熱硬化性樹脂が自己硬化性でなく、かつ、工程(b)及び(c)の間に硬化剤を添加する工程をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- (d)工程(c)からの架橋された製品又は付形物を機械加工する工程
をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 少なくとも70wt%の乾燥剤と、熱硬化性結合剤樹脂とを含んでなる、乾燥剤製品。
- 該結合剤樹脂が5〜30wt%存在する、請求項9に記載の乾燥剤製品。
- 該結合剤樹脂が、フェノール樹脂、アルキド樹脂、アミノ樹脂、ポリエステル樹脂、エポキシド樹脂、メラミン樹脂、尿素−ホルムアルデヒド樹脂、フェノール−ホルムアルデヒド樹脂、ポリウレタン樹脂、及びシリコン樹脂からなる群から選択される、請求項9に記載の乾燥剤製品。
