Abstract

Claims (25)
- エンジンの制御方法において、
第一の運転状態の間に予混合圧縮着火燃焼を実行する工程、及び、
第二の運転状態の間に火花点火燃焼を実行する工程を有し、
上記予混合圧縮着火燃焼と上記火花点火燃焼の少なくとも一つにおけるアルコール量が、運転パラメータの少なくとも一つに応じて変更される、
方法。 - 上記アルコールが上記エンジンの燃焼室に直接的に噴射される、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 上記エンジンが、ガソリン、及び、直接的に噴射されるアルコールを燃料として供給される、
請求項2に記載の方法。 - 上記アルコールが更にポート噴射され、
直接噴射されるアルコールのポート噴射されるアルコールに対する比率が、ノック抑制効果を変えるために変更される、
請求項2又は3に記載の方法。 - 上記運転パラメータが、エンジン速度とエンジン負荷の少なくとも一つを含む、
請求項1乃至4のいずれか一つに記載の方法。 - 上記運転パラメータがノックであり、

上記自着火による燃焼におけるアルコール量が、上記自着火による燃焼の性能を変更すべく、少なくともエンジンの第一運転パラメータに応じて変更される、
方法。 - 上記自着火による燃焼性能が燃焼タイミングを含み、そして、
上記燃焼を実行する工程が、運転状態に応じてアルコールの噴射タイミングを変える工程を更に含む、
請求項15に記載の方法。 - 上記第一運転パラメータが、エンジンの温度と燃焼のタイミングとの少なくとも一つを含む、
請求項15又は16に記載の方法。 - 第二の運転状態の間に火花点火によって燃焼を実行する工程を更に有し、
上記火花点火による燃焼におけるアルコールの量が第二運転状態に応じて変更される、
請求項15乃至17のいずれか一つに記載の方法。 - エンジンの制御システムにおいて、
少なくとも一つの燃焼室、
ガソリンを含む第一燃料と、アルコールを含む第二燃料を上記燃焼室に供給するための燃料システム、及び、
上記燃焼室を、自着火燃焼モードから火花点火燃焼モードに移行させるための制御装置を有し、
上記制御装置が、上記移行に応じて、上記第二燃料を少なくとも幾らか備えたリッチな空燃比の混合気を上記燃焼室に供給する、
システム。 - 上記制御装置が、上記自着火燃焼モードから上記火花点火燃焼モードへの移行に応じて、アルコールを含む上記第二燃料の、ガソリンを含む上記第一燃料に対する比率を増加させるように更に構成され、
上記アルコールがエタノールを含み、そして、
上記自着火燃焼モードが予混合圧縮着火による燃焼を含み、
上記制御装置が更に、ノックのレベルに応じてアルコールを含む第二燃料の量を増加するように構成され、
そこにおいて、上記燃焼室が少なくとも13:1より大きな圧縮比を持つ、
請求項19に記載の制御システム。 - 更に、上記燃焼室の中に保持される排気ガスのレベルを制御するための排気バルブを少なくとも含み、
上記制御装置が、上記排気バルブのタイミングに応じてアルコールを含む上記第二燃料の量を変更するように更に構成され、
上記エンジンの制御システムが、上記燃焼室の排気流の中に配設された触媒を更に有し、
上記制御装置が、触媒の状態に応じて上記燃焼室に供給されるアルコールを含む第二燃料の量を変更するように更に構成され、
上記触媒の状態が、上記触媒の温度と上記触媒に貯蔵された酸素のレベルとの少なくとも一つを含む、
請求項19又は20に記載の制御システム。 - 少なくとも上記火花点火燃焼モードの間に燃焼を開始させるための点火栓を更に有し、
上記制御装置が、上記モードの移行に応じて、エンジンによって生成されるトルク量を調節すべく点火タイミングを変更するように更に構成されている、
請求項19乃至21のいずれか一つに記載の制御システム。 - 制御モジュール、及び、エンジン・ノック或いは燃焼ピーク圧を示す少なくとも一つのリアルタイム・センサーに連結されている、HCCI燃焼モードとSI燃焼モードの各々において動作可能なエンジンの制御方法において、
低負荷において予混合圧縮着火モードで運転し、そして、高負荷において火花点火モードで運転する工程を有し、
各モードにおいて、燃焼を制御し且つノックを避けるべくノック抑制燃料混合物を追加し、
上記モード間の移行と、上記ノック抑制燃料混合物の量及び噴射タイミングとが、上記制御モジュールに記憶された情報と、上記リアルタイム・センサーからのフィードバックによる情報との両方によって決定され、
上記ノック抑制燃料混合物の追加が、マニフォールド圧が増大した状態での運転を可能とする、
方法。 - 上記火花点火モードでエンジンを始動させ、エンジンが充分に暖機したのちに予混合圧縮着火モードへの移行を可能とする工程を更に有する、
請求項23に記載の方法。 - 上記予混合圧縮着火モードと上記火花点火モードとの間の移行の間、上記エンジンが一時的に、幾つかの気筒が上記火花点火モードとなり、他の幾つかの気筒が上記予混合圧縮着火モードとなるように動作する、
