Abstract
【解決手段】電力増幅装置は、主たる入力信号を増幅する第1の電力増幅器40と、前記主たる入力信号の一部を分岐して入力とし、第2高調波を出力する第2高調波発生器10と、この第2高調波の位相を調整する移相器20と、前記主たる入力信号の分岐信号と移相器20の出力とを加算して出力する第1の加算器30と、この第1の加算器出力を入力とする第2の電力増幅器50と、第1および第2の電力増幅器40,50の出力同士を互いに加算して出力する第2の加算器60とからなる。

Vo = G1・Vi + G2・Vi2 + G3・Vi3 + … (1)
とする。第1の電力増幅器(以下、下側PAという)への入力信号は、
Vi = sin(ωt) + sin(ω+δ)t (2)
と表せる。振幅は便宜上全て1としている。また各波のもつ位相Φはゼロとしている。
(2)式を(1)式に代入して展開する。3次項(G3の項)で生じる3sin(ωt)・sin2(ω+δ)tより、(3/2)・sin(ω+2δ)tの項が生じる。即ち、下側PAの3次相互変調歪み成分IM3Lは次式で表せる。
IM3L: 3sin(ωt)・sin2(ω+δ)t → + (3/2)・G3・sin(ω+2δ)t (3)
Vi = sin(ωt) + sin(ω+δ)t + sin(2ωt) + sin2(ω+δ)t (4)
となる。上側PAの入出力も(1)式と同様とする。(4)式を(1)式に代入すると上側PAの出力が得られる。このとき、2次の項(G2の項)で生じる、sin(ωt)・sin{2(ω+δ)t}より、-cos(ω+2δ)tの項が生じる。即ち、上側PAの3次相互変調歪み成分IM3Uは次式で表せる。
IM3U: sin(ωt)・sin{2(ω+δ)t → - G2・cos(ω+2δ)t (5)
IM3L: (3/2)・G3・V1・sin{(ω+2δ)t + Φ1} (6)
IM3U: -G2・V2・cos{(ω+2δ)t + Φ2} (7)

Claims (5)
- 主たる入力信号を増幅する第1の電力増幅器と、
前記主たる入力信号の一部を分岐して入力とし、第2高調波を出力する第2高調波発生器と、
この第2高調波の位相を調整する移相器と、
前記主たる入力信号の分岐信号と前記移相器の出力とを加算して出力する第1の加算器と、
この第1の加算器出力を入力とする第2の電力増幅器と、
前記第1および第2の電力増幅器の出力同士を互いに加算して出力する第2の加算器と
を備えたことを特徴とする電力増幅装置。 - 前記第1の電力増幅器はA級またはAB級にバイアスされ、前記第2の電力増幅器はC級にバイアスされたことを特徴とする請求項1記載の電力増幅装置。
- 前記第2高調波発生器は、C級にバイアスしたソース接地FET回路を使用し、FETのドレイン端子に第2高調波通過用の帯域通過フィルタを接続して構成されたことを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の電力増幅装置。
- 前記第2高調波発生器として周波数変換ミキサを使用したことを特徴とする請求項1記載の電力増幅装置。
- 電力増幅装置を備えた携帯電話端末であって、
前記電力増幅装置は、
主たる入力信号を増幅する第1の電力増幅器と、
前記主たる入力信号の一部を分岐して入力とし、第2高調波を出力する第2高調波発生器と、
この第2高調波の位相を調整する移相器と、
前記主たる入力信号の分岐信号と前記移相器の出力とを加算して出力する第1の加算器と、
この第1の加算器出力を入力とする第2の電力増幅器と、
前記第1および第2の電力増幅器の出力同士を互いに加算して出力する第2の加算器と
を備えたことを特徴とする携帯電話端末。
