Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の画素140は、第1トランジスタM1にゲート電極が接続され、第1電極が第1電源ELVDDに接続された第2トランジスタM2と、ゲート電極が走査線Snに接続され、第1電極が第1電源ELVDDに接続された第3トランジスタM3と、第2トランジスタM2の制御により電流が供給される有機発光ダイオードOLEDと、第2トランジスタM2のゲート電極と第1電極との間に接続されたストレージキャパシタCstと、第2トランジスタのゲート電極と第2電極との間に接続されたフィードバックキャパシタCfbとを備えたことを特徴とする。

Claims (9)
- ゲート電極が走査線に接続され、第1電極がデータ線に接続される第1トランジスタと、
前記第1トランジスタの第2電極にゲート電極が接続され、第1電極が第1電源に接続される第2トランジスタと、
ゲート電極が前記走査線に接続され、第1電極が前記第1電源に接続され、第2電極が前記第2トランジスタの第2電極に接続される第3トランジスタと、
前記第2トランジスタ及び前記第3トランジスタの第2電極にアノード電極が接続され、カソード電極が第2電源に接続される有機発光ダイオードと、
前記第2トランジスタのゲート電極と第1電極との間に接続されるストレージキャパシタと、
前記第2トランジスタのゲート電極と第2電極との間に接続されるフィードバックキャパシタとを備えていることを特徴とする画素。 - 前記有機発光ダイオードのアノード電極と前記第2トランジスタの第2電極との間に接続され、前記ストレージキャパシタにデータ信号に対応する電圧が充電されるときにターンオフされ、それ以外の場合にターンオンされる第4トランジスタをさらに備えていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画素。
- 前記第1電源は、前記第2電源よりも高い電圧値に設定されていることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2のいずれか1項に記載の画素。
- 走査線に走査信号を順次供給し、発光制御線に発光制御信号を順次供給するための走査駆動部と、
データ線にデータ信号を供給するためのデータ駆動部と、
前記走査線及びデータ線に接続される複数の画素とを備え、
前記画素のそれぞれは、
前記走査線とデータ線とに接続され、前記走査信号が供給されるときにターンオンされる第1トランジスタと、
前記第1トランジスタの第2電極と第1電源との間に位置し、前記第1トランジスタがターンオンされるときに前記データ信号に対応する電圧を充電するストレージキャパシタと、
前記ストレージキャパシタに充電された電圧に対応して、前記第1電源から有機発光ダイオードを経由して第2電源に流れる電流量を制御する第2トランジスタと、
前記走査線に走査信号が供給されるときに前記第2トランジスタの第2電極に前記第1電源の電圧を供給する第3トランジスタと、
前記第2トランジスタのゲート電極と第2電極との間に位置し、前記有機発光ダイオードに電流が供給されるときに前記第2トランジスタの第2電極の電圧変化量を前記第2トランジスタのゲート電極に伝達するためのフィードバックキャパシタと
を備えていることを特徴とする有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記画素のそれぞれは、前記第2トランジスタの第2電極と前記有機発光ダイオードとの間に位置し、前記発光制御信号が供給されるときにターンオフされ、それ以外の場合にターンオンされる第4トランジスタをさらに備えていることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- i(iは、自然数)番目の発光制御線に供給される発光制御信号は、i番目の走査線に供給される走査信号と重畳することを特徴とする請求項4または請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 走査線に走査信号を供給して、ストレージキャパシタにデータ信号に対応した電圧を充電する段階と、
前記ストレージキャパシタにデータ信号に対応した電圧が充電されると、駆動トランジスタの第2電極を第1電源の電圧に保持する段階と、
前記ストレージキャパシタに充電された電圧に対応する電流を、前記駆動トランジスタによって前記第1電源から有機発光ダイオードを経由して第2電源に供給する段階と、
前記有機発光ダイオードに電流が供給されると、前記有機発光ダイオードに印加される電圧と前記第1電源との差に対応した電圧変化量に基づいて前記駆動トランジスタのゲート電極の電圧を制御する段階と、
前記ゲート電極の電圧が制御された駆動トランジスタから前記有機発光ダイオードに電流を供給する段階と
を含むことを特徴とする有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記駆動トランジスタのゲート電極と第2電極との間に設けられるフィードバックキャパシタを用いて、前記電圧変化量に基づいて前記駆動トランジスタのゲート電極の電圧を制御することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記ストレージキャパシタに電圧を充電するときに、前記駆動トランジスタと前記有機発光ダイオードとを電気的に遮断する段階をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項7または請求項8のいずれか1項に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。
