Abstract
【解決手段】シート前縁部カールセンサ装置100において、カールがゼロの媒体シート基板108が通過するパスである媒体シート基板走行パス103と、第一発光器101と、第一発光器101と整合して配置された第二発光器102であって、第一発光器101から発した光ビームと第二発光器102から発した光ビームとが互いに交差するように配置された第一発光器101と第二発光器102と、第一発光器101から発する光ビームを受けるように整合して配置された第一光検知器104と、第二発光器102から発する光ビームを受けるように整合して第一光検知器104と関連して配置された第二光検知器105とを備える。

Description
媒体基板108に対して正のカールは、図1で矢印線106で示される。図1で定義の「正のカール」は、矢印線106に向いた正の方向の媒体基板前縁部のカールから成るとし得る。「負のカール」は、負の方向で同様に定義され、図1において矢印線107で示されている。媒体基板108は、図1で僅かに正のカールを有していると示されているが、これは説明目的のみである。
Claims (5)
- カールがゼロの媒体シート基板が通過するパスである媒体シート基板走行パスと、
第一発光器と、前記第一発光器と整合して配置された第二発光器であって、前記第一発光器から発した光ビームと前記第二発光器から発した光ビームとが互いに交差するように配置された第一発光器と第二発光器と、
前記第一発光器から発する前記光ビームを受けるように整合して配置された第一光検知器と、
前記第二発光器から発する前記光ビームを受けるように整合して前記第一光検知器と関連して配置された第二光検知器と、
を備えることを特徴とするシート前縁部カールセンサ装置。 - 請求項1に記載のシート前縁部カールセンサ装置において、
前記両光ビームが、前記媒体シート基板の走行パスと交差することを特徴とするシート前縁部カールセンサ装置。 - 請求項1に記載のシート前縁部カールセンサ装置において、
前記第一発光器と前記第二発光器とが、前記第一光検知器と前記第二光検知器とからは前記媒体シート基板走行パスのそれぞれ反対側に配置され、
前記両光ビームが前記媒体シート基板走行パスと交差し、かつ、前記媒体シート基板の前縁部箇所でカールがゼロである媒体シート基板が、前記両光ビームから発する前記光ビームを略同時に遮ることを特徴とするシート前縁部カールセンサ装置。 - 第一発光器と、前記第一発光器と整合して配置された第二発光器と、において、前記第一発光器から発した光ビームと前記第二発光器から発した光ビームとが互いに交差するように配置された第一発光器と、第二発光器と、
前記第一発光器から発する前記光ビームを受けるように整合して配置された第一光検知器と、
前記第二発光器から発する前記光ビームを受けるように整合して前記第一光検知器と関連して配置された第二光検知器と、
前記第一光検知器と第二光検知器とが、光ビームの遮りを示す出力信号を提供するタイミング装置と、
を備えること特徴とするシート前縁部カールセンサ装置。 - カールがゼロの媒体シート基板が通過するパスである媒体シート基板走行パスを提供するステップと、
第一発光器と、前記第一発光器と整合して配置された第二発光器であって、前記第一発光器から発した光ビームと前記第二発光器から発した光ビームとが互いに交差するように配置された第一発光器と、第二発光器とを提供するステップと、
前記第一発光器から発する前記光ビームを受けるように整合して配置された第一光検知器と、前記第二発光器から発する前記光ビームを受けるように整合して前記第一発光器と関連して配置された第二光検知器とを提供するステップと、
を含むことを特徴とするシート前縁部カール検出方法。
