Description
本発明は、基材上に紫外線(UV)又は電子ビーム(EB)インクコーティングを形成するのに特に有用性を有する、基材上に放射硬化型コーティングを形成する方法、及び得られたコーティング物品に関する。
本発明において、残存する官能(反応)基を有するプラズマ重合体が、基材上に形成され、次に、そのプラズマ重合体がコーティングされた基材に、放射硬化型コーティング組成物を施し、その放射硬化型組成物を放射硬化する。
1片のポリエチレンフィルム基材を、イソプロピルアルコールとシクロヘキサンの1:1混合物の中で超音波洗浄し、チャンバー内のガラス板の上に置く。残存ガスを排気した後、1900sccmの流量と1.02×105Nm−2の圧力でプラズマ放電ガスを導入する。ヘリウムと、99%ヘリウム/1%酸素の混合物の2つの放電ガスを使用する。10分間のパージの後、シリンジポンプのスイッチを入れ、コーティング形成材料を3×10−5mls−1の流量で流す。オクタメチルシクロテトラシロキサンとテトラメチル−シクロテトラシロキサンの2つのコーティング形成材料を使用する。コーティング形成材料が超音波ノズルに到達した時、超音波発生器のスイッチを入れ(2.5W)、コーティング形成材料の噴霧化を開始し、電極に1.5kVを印加することによって、大気圧のプラズマ放電を引き起こす。
赤着色剤の水系ディスパージョン(Sunsperse RHD6012、Sun Chemical Pigments Divisionより)40部、脂肪族エポキシアクリレート(Laromer LR8765、BASFより)50部、水5部、光開始剤(Irgacure 2959、Cibaより)5部を一緒に混合する。それを、フレキソハンドプルーファを用いて、プラズマ重合体をコーティングした基材に施し、UV照射によって硬化させる。
ピグメントブルー15:3(フタロシアニンブルー、Sun Chemicalより)30部と高度にエトキシル化されたトリメチロールプロパントリアクリレート(15モルEO、SR9035、Sartomerより)70部を三本ロールミルで粉砕し、2/0の粒度(grind)を有する濃厚基剤を作成する。この基剤20部に、ポリエチレングリコール(400)ジアクリレート(SR344、Sartomerより)40部、光開始剤(Irgacure 2959、Cibaより)10部、高度にエトキシル化されたトリメチロールプロパントリアクリレート(15モルEO、SR9035、Sartomerより)10部、及び水40部を混合し、ブルーインクを作成する。そのインクを、フレキソハンドプルーファを用いて、実施例1のプラズマ重合体をコーティングした基材に施し、UV照射によって硬化させる。
銅フタロシアニンスルホニルクロリド210重量部を含有するプレスケーキ(任意の常套法によって調製)を、約2000の数平均分子量を有する第一級アミンを末端とするポリ(エチレンオキシド/プロピレンオキシド)(5/95)コポリマー(Huntsman CorporationよりXTJ507として入手)692重量部、と炭酸ナトリウム66重量部の混合物に添加し、混合することによってレオロジー的添加剤を調製する。次いで、最終的な反応混合物を、真空下で80〜90℃に加熱して水を除去し、銅フタロシアニン添加剤を作成する。
Claims (20)
- 残存する未重合で重合可能な官能基を含有するプラズマ重合体のコーティングを基材上に提供し、
放射硬化型組成物を、前記プラズマ重合体をコーティングした基材に施し、ここで、前記放射硬化型組成物は、照射が行われたとき、前記残存する未重合で重合可能な官能基と反応生成物を形成する少なくとも1つの成分を含有し、そして
前記放射硬化型組成物を放射硬化する、
ことを含む、コーティングされた基材の製造方法。 - 前記放射硬化型組成物が、放射硬化型グラビアインクである請求項1に記載のコーティングされた基材の製造方法。
- 前記放射硬化型組成物が、放射硬化型フレキソグラフィインクである請求項1に記載のコーティングされた基材の製造方法。
- 前記放射硬化型組成物が、放射硬化型リソグラフィインクである請求項1に記載のコーティングされた基材の製造方法。
- 前記放射硬化型組成物が、着色剤組成物と放射硬化型液体媒体を含有する放射硬化型インクである請求項1に記載のコーティングされた基材の製造方法。
- 前記放射硬化型媒体が、α、β−エチレン性不飽和化合物を含有する請求項1に記載のコーティングされた基材の製造方法。
- 前記α、β−エチレン性不飽和化合物が、(メタ)アクリレートを含有する請求項6に記載のコーティングされた基材の製造方法。
- 前記プラズマ重合体のコーティングが、重合したエポキシド又は(メタ)アクリレートを含有する請求項1に記載のコーティングされた基材の製造方法。
- 前記プラズマ重合体のコーティングを形成することをさらに含む請求項1に記載のコーティングされた基材の製造方法。
- 前記硬化が電子ビーム硬化である請求項1に記載のコーティングされた基材の製造方法。
- 前記硬化が紫外線硬化である請求項1に記載のコーティングされた基材の製造方法。
- プラズマ重合体のコーティングをその上に有する基材、及び前記プラズマ重合体をコーティングした基材上の放射硬化した組成物を備え、前記プラズマ重合体の一部と前記放射硬化した組成物の一部が反応生成物を形成した、コーティングされた基材。
- 前記放射硬化した組成物が、放射硬化したグラビアインクである請求項12に記載のコーティングされた基材。
- 前記放射硬化した組成物が、放射硬化したフレキソグラフィインクである請求項12に記載のコーティングされた基材。
- 前記放射硬化した組成物が、放射硬化したリソグラフィインクである請求項12に記載のコーティングされた基材。
- 前記放射硬化した組成物が、着色剤と放射硬化した液体媒体を含有する放射硬化したインクである請求項12に記載のコーティングされた基材。
- 前記媒体が、重合した(メタ)アクリレートを含有する請求項16に記載のコーティングされた基材。
- 前記プラズマ重合体のコーティングが、重合したエポキシド又は(メタ)アクリレートを含有する請求項1に記載のコーティングされた基材。
- 前記放射硬化した組成物が、着色剤と放射硬化した液体媒体を含有する放射硬化したインクである請求項18に記載のコーティングされた基材。
