Abstract
【解決手段】ジルコニアを主成分とする固体電解質からなる有底筒状の母体28と、前記母体28の外表面に設けられた外側電極26と、前記母体28の内表面に設けられた内側電極27と、前記母体28と前記外側電極26との間に設けられ、ジルコニアを主成分とする密着層29とを備えるガスセンサ素子2において、前記母体28におけるジルコニア粒子中の正方晶の割合が45%以上、60%以下であり、かつ、前記密着層29におけるジルコニア粒子中の正方晶の割合が前記母体28におけるジルコニア粒子中の正方晶の割合よりも多いことを特徴とするガスセンサ素子2。

Description
本発明の効果を確認するために、以下のような試験を行った。まず、外形が図1に示されるようなガスセンサ素子2を製造するために用いられる密着層29が形成された母体28を用意した。すなわち、酸化ジルコニウムに下記表1の母体の欄に示すような量のイットリアを添加し、さらに表1の母体の欄に示すような量となるようにアルミナを添加したものを湿式粉砕し、1300℃で仮焼した後、再び湿式粉砕を行って粒子径が2.5μm以下であるものが90%以上含まれる微細原料粉末を得た。この微細原料粉末に有機バインダを加えて得た泥漿をスプレードライヤにかけ、平均粒径80μm程度の造粒粒子とした。そして、この造粒粒子を有底筒状に成形して母体28(未焼成体)とした。
Claims (5)
- ジルコニアを主成分とする固体電解質からなる有底筒状の母体と、前記母体の外表面に設けられた外側電極と、前記母体の内表面に設けられた内側電極と、前記母体と前記外側電極との間に設けられ、ジルコニアを主成分とする密着層とを備えるガスセンサ素子において、
前記母体におけるジルコニア粒子中の正方晶の割合が45%以上、60%以下であり、かつ、前記密着層におけるジルコニア粒子中の正方晶の割合が前記母体におけるジルコニア粒子中の正方晶の割合よりも多いことを特徴とするガスセンサ素子。 - 前記密着層におけるジルコニア粒子中の正方晶の割合が60%以上であることを特徴とする請求項1記載のガスセンサ素子。
- 前記母体にはアルミナが含有され、そのアルミナの含有量が5重量%以上であることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載のガスセンサ素子。
- 前記母体に含有されるアルミナ粒子の平均粒径が1μm以下であることを特徴とする請求項3記載のガスセンサ素子。
- ガスセンサ素子と該ガスセンサ素子を取り囲む主体金具とを有するガスセンサであって、
前記ガスセンサ素子として請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項記載のガスセンサ素子を用いてなることを特徴とするガスセンサ。
