Abstract
【解決手段】主に低圧EGR通路23を用いてEGRが行われている時に、NOx触媒20の還元処理を実施すべく燃料添加弁28から排気管に燃料添加が行われた場合、低圧EGR通路23によって再循環される排気の量を減量することによって、NOx触媒20を通過する排気の量を減少させるようにした。

する方法などが採られる。この場合、排気中に添加された燃料は排気とともにNOx触媒を通過しつつNOx触媒に吸蔵されたNOxと還元反応する。すなわち、NOxの還元反応が進行するのは添加された燃料がNOx触媒を通過する期間内に限られることになる。そのため、NOx触媒の還元処理が好適に実施されるためには、NOx触媒における燃料の滞留時間を長くすることが有効である。
内燃機関から排出される排気を浄化する排気浄化装置と、
前記排気浄化装置の上流から燃料を供給する燃料添加装置と、
前記排気浄化装置より上流の排気管に設けられたタービンと前記内燃機関の吸気管の途中に設けられたコンプレッサとから成るターボチャージャと、
前記タービンより上流の排気管内の排気の一部を前記コンプレッサより下流の吸気管に再循環させる高圧EGR装置と、
前記排気浄化装置より下流の排気管内の排気の一部を前記コンプレッサより上流の吸気管に再循環させる低圧EGR装置と、
前記燃料添加装置から前記排気浄化装置に燃料が供給される時は、前記高圧EGR装置によって再循環する排気の量及び/又は前記低圧EGR装置によって再循環する排気の量を制御して前記排気浄化装置を通過する排気の量を制御する制御手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする。

Claims (9)
- 内燃機関から排出される排気を浄化する排気浄化装置と、
前記排気浄化装置の上流から燃料を供給する燃料添加装置と、
前記排気浄化装置より上流の排気管に設けられたタービンと前記内燃機関の吸気管の途中に設けられたコンプレッサとから成るターボチャージャと、
前記タービンより上流の排気管内の排気の一部を前記コンプレッサより下流の吸気管に再循環させる高圧EGR装置と、
前記排気浄化装置より下流の排気管内の排気の一部を前記コンプレッサより上流の吸気管に再循環させる低圧EGR装置と、
前記燃料添加装置から前記排気浄化装置に燃料が供給される時は、前記高圧EGR装置によって再循環する排気の量及び/又は前記低圧EGR装置によって再循環する排気の量を制御して前記排気浄化装置を通過する排気の量を制御する制御手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化システム。 - 請求項1において、
前記排気浄化装置に設けられた吸蔵還元型のNOx触媒に前記燃料添加装置から燃料を供給することで前記NOx触媒に吸蔵されたNOx又はSOxを還元する還元処理を行う還元手段を更に備え、
前記制御手段は、前記還元処理の実施時に前記低圧EGR装置による排気の再循環が行われていた場合は、前記低圧EGR装置によって再循環する排気の量を減量することを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化システム。 - 請求項2において、
前記制御手段は、前記還元処理の実施時における前記NOx触媒の温度が所定温度より低い場合は、前記減量の度合いを少なくすることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化システム。 - 請求項2又は3において、
前記制御手段は、前記還元処理の実施時において前記NOx触媒にさらに吸蔵させることが可能なNOxの量に応じて前記減量の度合いを定めることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化システム。 - 請求項2において、
前記還元処理の実施前に前記NOx触媒の温度を上昇させる触媒昇温処理を行う触媒昇温手段を更に備え、
前記制御手段は、前記触媒昇温処理の実施時に前記高圧EGR装置によって再循環する排気の量を増量することを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化システム。 - 請求項2において、
前記制御手段は、前記還元処理が実施されていない時は、前記NOx触媒の温度が所定の温度範囲に入るように、前記高圧EGR装置によって再循環する排気の量及び/又は前記低圧EGR装置によって再循環する排気の量を制御することを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化システム。 - 請求項1において、
前記排気浄化装置に設けられたPMフィルタに前記燃料添加装置から燃料を供給することで前記PMフィルタに捕集された微粒子物質を酸化するフィルタ再生処理を行うフィルタ再生手段を更に備え、
前記制御手段は、前記フィルタ再生処理の実施時に前記低圧EGR装置によって再循環
する排気の量を増量することを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化システム。 - 請求項7において、
前記フィルタ再生処理の実施前に前記PMフィルタの温度を上昇させるフィルタ昇温処理を行うフィルタ昇温手段を更に備え、
前記制御手段は、前記フィルタ昇温処理の実施時に前記高圧EGR装置によって再循環する排気の量を増量することを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化システム。 - 請求項1〜8において、
前記制御手段は、前記燃料添加装置から供給される燃料の性状に応じて前記低圧EGR装置によって再循環する排気の量及び/又は前記高圧EGR装置によって再循環する排気の量を制御することを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化システム。
