Abstract
【効果】本発明のゴルフボールは、隣接するカバー層同士の密着性が良好であり、反発性、打球感に優れると共に、打撃耐久性を改善したものである。

Description
〔1〕コアに複数層からなるカバーが被覆されたゴルフボールにおいて、上記カバーのうち少なくとも1層が、
(A)オレフィン−不飽和カルボン酸共重合体の金属イオン中和物及び/又はオレフィン−不飽和カルボン酸−不飽和カルボン酸エステル共重合体の金属イオン中和物 60〜90質量% (但し、上記(A)成分の40〜80質量%がアルカリ金属イオンにより中和されたアイオノマーである。)、
(B)少なくとも1種類からなるオレフィン−不飽和カルボン酸共重合体及び/又はオレフィン−不飽和カルボン酸−不飽和カルボン酸エステル共重合体 5〜20質量%、
(C)熱可塑性ポリウレタンエラストマー 2〜30質量%
の加熱混合物を主成分として形成されてなり、かつ上記カバー層と隣接する他のカバー層のうち少なくとも1層が非アイオノマー熱可塑性エラストマーを主成分として形成されたことを特徴とするゴルフボール。
〔2〕上記(A)成分中のアルカリ金属イオンがナトリウムイオンである〔1〕記載のゴルフボール。
〔3〕上記(B)成分の不飽和カルボン酸の含有量が上記(A)成分の不飽和カルボン酸含量と同量である〔1〕又は〔2〕記載のゴルフボール。
〔4〕上記他のカバー層のうち少なくとも1層がポリウレタンエラストマーを主成分として形成された〔1〕〜〔3〕のいずれか1項記載のゴルフボール。
〔5〕上記他のカバー層のうち少なくとも1層がポリエステルエラストマーを主成分として形成された〔1〕〜〔3〕のいずれか1項記載のゴルフボール。
〔6〕上記ポリウレタンエラストマーにイソシアネート混合物を添加した〔4〕記載のゴルフボール。
〔7〕コアの回りに複数層からなるカバーを被覆したゴルフボールの製造方法において、上記カバーのうち少なくとも1層が、
(A)オレフィン−不飽和カルボン酸共重合体の金属イオン中和物及び/又はオレフィン−不飽和カルボン酸−不飽和カルボン酸エステル共重合体の金属イオン中和物 60〜90質量%(但し、上記(A)成分の40〜80質量%がアルカリイオン金属により中和されたアイオノマーである。)、
(B)少なくとも1種類の(A)成分の不飽和カルボン酸含量と同じ酸含量を有するオレフィン−不飽和カルボン酸共重合体及び/又はオレフィン−不飽和カルボン酸−不飽和カルボン酸エステル共重合体 5〜20質量%、
(C)熱可塑性ポリウレタンエラストマー 2〜30質量%
の加熱混合物を主成分として形成し、この加熱混合物を、上記(B)成分と上記(C)成分とを予め混合した後、上記(A)成分を後添加して得るものであるゴルフボールの製造方法。
〔8〕上記(B)成分と上記(C)成分の混合する温度を、上記(A)成分を後添加する時の温度よりも高く設定した〔7〕記載のゴルフボールの製造方法。
〔9〕上記加熱混合物の製造する際に二軸押出機が用いられるものであり、この二軸押出機の第1投入口にて(B)成分と(C)成分とを投入し、次いで、第2投入口で(A)成分を添加して上記加熱混合物を得る〔7〕又は〔8〕記載のゴルフボールの製造方法。
〔10〕第1投入口から第2投入口の手前のゾーンの設定最高温度が200〜230℃であり、第2投入口から排出口のゾーンの設定最高温度が150〜200℃である〔7〕〜〔9〕のいずれか1項記載のゴルフボールの製造方法。
本発明のゴルフボール用材料は、(A)成分としてオレフィン−不飽和カルボン酸共重合体及び/又はオレフィン−不飽和カルボン酸−不飽和カルボン酸エステル共重合体の金属イオン中和物を配合してなるものである。
なお、混練時間は、いずれの投入の場合も10秒〜5分の範囲内とすることが好適である。
下記表1に示したコア材料を用いて、直径37.3mm、重量32.0g、100kg荷重負荷時の変形量3.1mmに調整したコアAを得た。
カバー材又は中間層材料を1mmのシート状に成形し、その硬度をASTM D−2240に準じて測定したショアD硬度である。
100kg荷重負荷時のボールの変形量(mm)である。
ゴルフボール公認機関R&A(USGA)と同タイプの初速度計を使用し、R&A(USGA)ルールに従い測定したときの初速度である。
JIS−K7210(試験温度190℃、試験荷重21N(2.16kgf))に従い測定した材料のメルトインデックス(MI)である。なお、滞留品については、230℃で10分間加熱したサンプルを上記の条件に従い測定を行った。
COR測定機を用い、入射速度50m/sにてゴルフボールを繰り返し打撃し、ボールが破壊するまでの打撃回数を調べた。表2では比較例1を100とした場合、表3では比較例6を100とした場合の相対値をそれぞれ示した。

表1に示したコア材料を用いて、直径35.3mm、重量27.1g、100kg荷重負荷時の変形量4.0mmに調整したコアBを得た。次いで、下記の表2に示す組成の中間層材料(熱可塑性ポリエステルエラストマー)を上記コアBを配備した金型内に射出成形して、コアBに中間層が被覆された球体(直径38.6mm,重量35.3g,100kg荷重負荷時の変形量3.9mm)を得た。

- コアに複数層からなるカバーが被覆されたゴルフボールにおいて、上記カバーのうち少なくとも1層が、
(A)オレフィン−不飽和カルボン酸共重合体の金属イオン中和物及び/又はオレフィン−不飽和カルボン酸−不飽和カルボン酸エステル共重合体の金属イオン中和物 60〜90質量%(但し、上記(A)成分の40〜80質量%がアルカリ金属イオンにより中和されたアイオノマーである。)、
(B)少なくとも1種類からなるオレフィン−不飽和カルボン酸共重合体及び/又はオレフィン−不飽和カルボン酸−不飽和カルボン酸エステル共重合体 5〜20質量%、
(C)熱可塑性ポリウレタンエラストマー 2〜30質量%
の加熱混合物を主成分として形成されてなり、かつ上記カバー層と隣接する他のカバー層のうち少なくとも1層が非アイオノマー熱可塑性エラストマーを主成分として形成されたことを特徴とするゴルフボール。 - 上記(A)成分中のアルカリ金属イオンがナトリウムイオンである請求項1記載のゴルフボール。
- 上記(B)成分の不飽和カルボン酸の含有量が上記(A)成分の不飽和カルボン酸含量と同量である請求項1又は2記載のゴルフボール。
- 上記他のカバー層のうち少なくとも1層が、ポリウレタンエラストマーを主成分として形成された請求項1〜3のいずれか1項記載のゴルフボール。
- 上記他のカバー層のうち少なくとも1層が、ポリエステルエラストマーを主成分として形成された請求項1〜3のいずれか1項記載のゴルフボール。
- 上記ポリウレタンエラストマーにイソシアネート混合物を添加した請求項4記載のゴルフボール。
- コアの回りに複数層からなるカバーを被覆したゴルフボールの製造方法において、上記カバーのうち少なくとも1層を、
