Abstract
【解決手段】発電セル10は、電解質膜・電極構造体12をアノード側金属セパレータ14とカソード側金属セパレータ16とで挟持する。冷却媒体流路46は、酸化剤ガスの入口バッファ部44aに対応する領域に流路壁部48a、50aを設けて冷却媒体の流入を規制する一方、酸化剤ガスの出口バッファ部44bには、前記冷却媒体の流入を許容する。同様に、燃料ガスの入口バッファ部36aに対応する領域には、流路壁部48b、50bを当接させて冷却媒体の流入を規制する一方、燃料ガスの出口バッファ部36bでは、前記冷却媒体の流入を許容する。

Claims (3)
- 電解質の両側に一対の電極が設けられた電解質・電極構造体と、セパレータとが積層され、前記電解質・電極構造体と一方のセパレータとの間には、前記電極の面方向に沿って反応ガスを供給する反応ガス流路が形成されるとともに、互いに積層される前記セパレータ間には、前記反応ガスの流れ方向と略直交する冷却媒体の流れ方向を有する冷却媒体流路が形成され、さらに積層方向に貫通して前記反応ガス流路の反応ガス入口連通孔及び反応ガス出口連通孔が設けられる燃料電池であって、
前記一方のセパレータは、前記反応ガス入口連通孔と前記反応ガス流路とを連結する入口バッファ部と、
前記反応ガス出口連通孔と前記反応ガス流路とを連結する出口バッファ部と、
を設けるとともに、
前記冷却媒体流路は、前記セパレータ間で前記入口バッファ部に対応する領域に前記冷却媒体が流入することを規制し、且つ前記出口バッファ部に対応する領域に前記冷却媒体が流入することを許容する流路壁部を有することを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池において、前記セパレータには、積層方向に貫通して前記冷却媒体流路の冷却媒体入口連通孔及び冷却媒体出口連通孔が設けられるとともに、
前記冷却媒体出口連通孔は、前記出口バッファ部から離間して設けられることを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1又は2記載の燃料電池において、前記入口バッファ部及び前記出口バッファ部は、前記電解質・電極構造体の電極反応面の外方に配設されることを特徴とする燃料電池。
