Abstract
を低減させたのち排水化するとともに除去したヨウ素を有効に資源化する容易かつ安価な
方法を提供する。
【解決手段】 有機分が混在するヨウ化物塩を含む水溶液を活性炭処理ならびに二段階の
塩素酸化工程を設けたシステムおよび装置を用いて処理する。

Description
図1に示す装置を用いてヨウ化カリウムを含む廃水を本発明により処理した。先ず、ヨウ化カリウムを含む廃水を表1に示すように濃硫酸を添加してpH調整し、水道水でヨウ素イオン濃度を調整した。また表1に示すようにろ過器(フィルター)3a、3bに活性炭(白鷺:武田薬品工業社製)を充填した。
方法
(1)10%のヨウ化カリウム溶液に下記表5、6中に示す所定量の水溶性高分子(カルボキシメチルセルロースナトリウム(CMC)、ポリビニルアルコール(PVA)500、ポリビニルアルコール(PVA)2000)を添加した。その水溶液185mlを濃硫酸でpH5以下に調整した後、粉状活性炭を添加、30分間攪拌後、吸引ろ過して、活性炭を除去した。
(2)ろ過液の一部をサンプリングして、有機分の濃度変化の指標であるTOC測定に供した。
(3)200mlガラスビーカーにろ過液を移し、ORP電極を入れて、液の酸化還元電位を測定した。同時に、細管ガラスノズルを介して塩素ガスを吹き込んだ。
(4)酸化還元電位が700mVを超えた時点で、塩素ガス吹き込みを中止した。
(5)ヨウ素が析出した液を懸濁し、攪拌を止めた時点から懸濁液の浮遊物が沈殿するまでの時間を測定した。結果を表5〜表7に示す。

Claims (8)
- ヨウ素および/またはヨウ化物塩含有水に塩素を供給して、含有されているヨウ素および/またはヨウ素イオンを酸化・沈降させることを特徴とするヨウ素の回収方法。
- ヨウ素および/またはヨウ化物塩含有水の有機分を予め吸着剤で除去することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 吸着剤が活性炭または活性白土であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。
- ヨウ化物塩濃度が0.5〜65.6質量%である請求項1〜3のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
- 吸着剤の使用量がヨウ素および/またはヨウ化物塩含有水1m3に対して0.1〜100kgである請求項2〜4のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
- 給液ラインで連続的に塩素を導入してヨウ素を晶析・沈降させ、その上澄液も連続的に系外に排出することを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
- ヨウ素および/またはヨウ素イオンの酸化・沈降工程は、前処理塩素酸化工程および主塩素酸化工程を有し、前記前処理塩素酸化工程において、塩素の供給量はヨウ素および/またはヨウ化物塩含有水中のヨウ素イオンに対して0〜0.5当量であり、前処理塩素酸化工程および主塩素酸化工程において、塩素の供給量はヨウ素および/またはヨウ化物塩含有水中のヨウ素イオンに対して合計0.8〜1.5当量である、請求項1〜6のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
- ヨウ素および/またはヨウ化物塩含有水を予めpH0.1〜12に調整する工程をさらに有する請求項1〜7のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
