Abstract
【解決手段】1種或いは複数種の繊維布帛を積層してなる防護衣料であって、該繊維布帛が特定の構造反復単位を含む芳香族コポリアミドからなり、その強度が20cN/dtex以上、引張弾性率が500cN/dtex以上の芳香族コポリアミド繊維からなる布帛を含む。

Description
このように、従来のアラミド繊維を用いた場合と同様のコストで、且つ従来のアラミド繊維を用いた場合に比べて、耐弾性能に優れた防護衣料の登場が切望されてきた。
本発明でいう芳香族コポリアミドとは、1種又は2種以上の2価の芳香族基が直接アミド結合により連結されているポリマーであって、該芳香族基は2個の芳香環が酸素、硫黄又はアルキレン基で結合されたものであってもよい。また、これらの2価の芳香族基には、メチル基やエチル基などの低級アルキル基、メトキシ基、クロルキなどのハロゲン基等が含まれていてもよい。
本発明における芳香族ジカルボン酸ジクロライドは従来公知のもので良い。例えばテレフタル酸ジクロライド、2−クロロテレフタル酸ジクロライド、3−メチルテレフタル酸ジクロライド、4、4’−ビフェニルジカルボン酸ジクロライド、2,6−ナフタレンジカルボン酸ジクロライド、イソフタル酸ジクロライド等が挙げられる。
また、本発明で得られる芳香族コポリアミド繊維は引張強度20cN/dtex、初期モジュラス500cN/dtex以上であることが必要である。
(1)耐弾試験
NIJ−STD(米国司法省標準規格)−0108.02にしたがい、9mmFMJ弾(弾丸速度424±15m/s)による区分IIIAの性能試験と、MIL−STD(米国軍用標準規格)−662による22キャリバー17グレインの模擬弾での性能試験を実施した。
芳香族コポリアミド繊維織物としては、パラフェニレンジアミン15モル、5(6)−アミノ−2−(4−アミノフェニル)ベンジミダゾール35モル、テレフタル酸クロライド50モルからなる重合体を製糸して得た、引張強度20cN/dtex、引張り弾性率500cN/dtex、1100dtex、500フィラメントのフィラメント糸を用いた。
MIL(米国軍用規格)−C−44050に準拠して、アラミド繊維からなる平織物を作成した。引張強度20cN/dtex、引張り弾性率500cN/dtex、1100dtex、500フィラメントのアラミド(PPTA)繊維に、59T/mで撚りを掛け(撚り係数7.6)た後、経、緯の織密度を30本/inとして織成し、目付285g/m2の平織物を得た。この織物を、18枚重ね上記実施例と同様に耐弾試験を行なったところ、V50は494m/sであった。
