Abstract
【解決手段】負極ゲル18の活物質に水銀無添加の亜鉛を主成分とする合金を用い、その負極集電子25として銅または銅を主成分とする合金を用いる筒形アルカリ電池10ににあって、上記負極集電子25の表面にSnを無電解メッキするとともに、その無電解メッキ(251)の厚さを0.05〜0.095μmとする。

Description
(1)負極ゲルの活物質に水銀無添加の亜鉛を主成分とする合金を用い、その負極集電子として銅または銅を主成分とする合金を用いる筒形アルカリ電池において、上記負極集電子の表面にSnを無電解メッキするとともに、その無電解メッキの厚さを0.05〜0.095μmとしたことを特徴とする筒形アルカリ電池。
(2)負極ゲルの活物質に用いる水銀無添加の亜鉛を主成分とする合金の粒度が、50〜250meshの範囲であることを特徴とする上記(1)に記載の筒形アルカリ電池。
(3)負極ゲルに、In等の金属酸化物を負極ゲル全体の20〜2000ppmの範囲で添加したことを特徴とする上記(1)または(2)に記載の筒形アルカリ電池。
以下、典型的な実施例を示す。
実施例1として、図1に示した形状構造を有する筒形アルカリ電池(LR03)を、次の仕様1により作製した。
===仕様1===
(1)正極合剤:電解二酸化マンガン、導電剤としての黒鉛、バインダ、40%KOH水溶液を用いて作製。
(2)負極ゲル:粒度を50〜250meshの範囲内に揃えた亜鉛合金、40%KOH水溶液、増粘剤としてのポリアクリル酸を用いて調整。
(3)負極ゲルの添加剤:無し。
(4)負極集電子:素材として真鍮を使用し、表面にSnを無電解メッキしたものを使用。
(5)負極集電子表面の無電解メッキ厚;0.07〜0.095μm。
実施例2として、図1に示した形状構造を有する筒形アルカリ電池(LR03)を、次の仕様2により作製した。
===仕様2===
(1)正極合剤:仕様1と同じ。
(2)負極ゲル:仕様1と同じ。
(3)負極ゲルの添加剤:酸化インジウムを負極ゲル文体に対して100ppm添加。
(4)負極集電子:仕様1と同じ。
(5)負極集電子表面の無電解メッキ厚;仕様1と同じ(0.07〜0.095μm)。
比較例1として、図1に示したのと同様の形状構造を有する筒形アルカリ電池(LR03)を、次の仕様3により作製した。
===仕様3===
(1)正極合剤:仕様1と同じ。
(2)負極ゲル:仕様1と同じ。
(3)負極ゲルの添加剤:無し。
(4)負極集電子:仕様1と同じ。
(5)負極集電子表面の無電解メッキ厚;1.4〜1.9μm。
各仕様1〜3の電池についてそれぞれ、負極ゲルへのPb,CuおよびSnの析出状態を分析するとともに、漏液状発生状態を調べる評価試験を行ったところ、次のような結果となった。

Claims (3)
- 負極ゲルの活物質に水銀無添加の亜鉛を主成分とする合金を用い、その負極集電子として銅または銅を主成分とする合金を用いる筒形アルカリ電池において、上記負極集電子の表面にSnを無電解メッキするとともに、その無電解メッキの厚さを0.05〜0.095μmとしたことを特徴とする筒形アルカリ電池。
- 負極ゲルの活物質に用いる水銀無添加の亜鉛を主成分とする合金の粒度が、50〜250meshの範囲であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の筒形アルカリ電池。
- 負極ゲルに、In等の金属酸化物を負極ゲル全体の20〜2000ppmの範囲で添加したことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の筒形アルカリ電池。
