Abstract
Description
る手作業の組立て工程を省くことは、技術的には別の進歩である。更に、樹脂が他の物体へ移動することを防ぎ、その目的物が複合材料に触れる、あるいは硬化されていない複合材料から流出することを防ぐ複合材料を提供することは、進歩である。複合材料を所望の形状に形成するために、望ましい粘着材、および繊維特性を備える複合材料を提供することは当業界にとって進歩である。
上述の器具および方法を、開示し、特許請求する。
本発明における器具および方法は、最新技術に対応すべく開発された。特に、現在入手し得るエアバッグシステムではまだ完全に解決されてはいない、技術的な問題とニーズに対応すべく開発された。成形可能で迅速製造可能な、廉価な複合材料を提供することが、本発明の総合的な目的である。

浸させるには、大きな液体樹脂の槽を必要とする。液体樹脂の槽に、使用しない大量の樹脂を入れる必要があり、汚染物質が入る可能性もある。複合材料のシートを液体樹脂の槽に含浸する工程では、複合材料100へ含浸される樹脂の量を制御することが不可能である。

Claims (43)
- 複数のフィラメントバンドが個々に、大気温度で固体もしくは半固体である樹脂で含浸され、平行に配置された同フィラメントバンドの層を複数有する複合材料であって、同フィラメントバンドの互いの層が近接した層と交差配向することにより形成された、複合材料。
- 前期フィラメントバンドがカーボンファイバである請求項1に記載の材料。
- 前記複合材料のシート上に配置されたフィラメントバンドの追加の層から更になる請求項1に記載の材料。
- 更に、前記フィラメントバンドの追加の層のフィラメントバンドがほぼ一定方向である請求項3に記載の材料。
- 前記フィラメントバンドの層の交差配向が複数の重ね配置を生成する請求項1に記載の材料。
- 有効な量の樹脂が前記重ね配置内に存在する請求項5に記載の材料。
- 前記個々のフィラメントバンドが、ほぼ同量の樹脂で含浸される請求項1に記載の材料。
- 前記材料がマンドレル上で前記フィラメントバンドを巻きつけることによって生産される、請求項1に記載の材料。
- 前記マンドレルがドラム状である請求項8に記載の材料。
- 前記フィラメントバンドの交差配向が層から層へ異なる角度を有する請求項1に記載の材料。
- 前記バンドが少なくとも約1インチ(25.4mm)幅である請求項1に記載の材料。
- 前記バンドが約0.5インチ(12.7mm)幅以下である、請求項1に記載の材料。
- 前記材料が粘着性を有する請求項1に記載の材料。
- 前記フィラメントバンドの層がフィラメントバンドの近接層に垂直である請求項1に記載の材料。
- 前記複合材料のシートが硬化時にほぼ固体である請求項1に記載の材料。
- 液体ではない樹脂によって、少なくとも前記複合材料の片側へ置かれた取り外し可能な支持台から更になる請求項1に記載の材料。
- 個々のフィラメントバンドが、大気温度で固体もしくは半固体である樹脂で含浸され、巻きつかれて複合材料のシートになる複数のフィラメントバンドであって、同フィラメントバンドの交互配列層が、近接するフィラメントバンド層と交差配向をすることによって形成された複合材料のシート。
- 前記フィラメントバンドマンドレル上に巻きつけられる請求項17に記載の材料。
- 前記マンドレルがドラム状である請求項18に記載の材料。
- 前記フィラメントバンドがらせん状に巻かれている請求項17に記載の材料。
- 前記交差配向の角度が選択可能な構成材料の負荷要求によって選択される請求項17に記載の材料。
- 単一方向の配向で複合材料のシート上に巻きつけられる複数のフィラメントバンドから更になる請求項17に記載の材料。
- 決定された材料が設計に基づいて巻かれる請求項17に記載の材料。
- 前記材料がプレフォームである請求項17に記載の材料。
- 前記フィラメントバンドがカーボンファイバである請求項17に記載の材料。
- 前記フィラメントバンドの交差配向が少なくとも3つの配向からなる請求項17に記載の材料。
- 前記フィラメントバンドの幅がシートによって変わる請求項17に記載の材料。
- 前記フィラメントバンドが巻かれている間に同フィラメントバンドが前記樹脂で含浸される請求項17に記載の材料。
- 前記フィラメントバンド中に前記樹脂を含浸すべく加熱される請求項17に記載の材料。
- 複合材料を製造する方法であって:
大気温度において固体もしくは半固体である樹脂で第1のフィラメントバンドを予備含浸する工程と;
第1の角度で第1のフィラメントバンドを巻きつける工程と;
大気温度で固体もしくは半固体である樹脂で第2のフィラメントバンドを予備含浸する工程と;
第2の方向で前記第2のフィラメントバンドを巻きつける工程であって、前記第2の角度が前記第1の角度と交差配向を有することによって、前記第1のフィラメントバンドおよび前記第2のフィラメントバンドが複合材料を形成する;
ことからなる複合材料を製造する方法。 - 前記第1の角度および第2の角度による前記交差配向がほぼ垂直配向である請求項30に記載の方法。
- 前記複合材料が回転するマンドレル上に巻きつけられる請求項30に記載の方法。
- 前記フィラメントバンドの配向がフィラメント巻きつけ機のフィラメント供給装置によって制御される請求項30に記載の方法。
- 前記供給部分が前記樹脂で前記フィラメントバンドを含浸する請求項33に記載の方法。
- 前記第1のフィラメントバンドおよび前記第2のフィラメントバンドが複数の重ね配置を有する請求項30に記載の方法。
- 有効な量の樹脂が前記重ね位置に存在する請求項35に記載の方法。
- 前記第1のフィラメントバンドおよび第2のフィラメントバンドがほぼ同量の樹脂で含浸される請求項30に記載の方法。
- 複合材料を製造する方法であって;
材料の負荷要求を決定する工程と;
前記材料の負荷要求を満たすために、フィラメントバンドの配向および層の数を特定する工程と;
製造制御計画を作成する工程と;
マンドレル上で複数のフィラメントバンドを巻きつける工程で、同複数のフィラメントバンドが大気温度で固体もしくは半固体である樹脂を予備含浸され、前記製造制御計画によって巻きつけられることによって、前記フィラメントバンドの配向および層の数が前記要素のプレフォームを作り出す;
ことからなる複合要素を製造する方法。 - 前記フィラメントバンドが、少なくとも3つの異なるフィラメントバンドの配向を有する複数の層へ巻きつけられる請求項38に記載の方法。
- 前記複合材料から前記プレフォームを切断する工程から更になる請求項38に記載の方法。
- 形状を決定するフォームの上に前記プレフォームを硬化する工程から更になる請求項40に記載の方法。
- 複数のプレフォームが同時に巻きつけられる請求項38に記載の方法。
- 前記プレフォームが複合材料のシート内に巻きつけられる請求項38に記載の方法。
