Claims (44)

- 組成物は、約0%〜約95%の相対湿度レベルで制御される相対湿度下でデバイスにコーティングされる請求項2の方法。
- 第2ポリマー成分は、酢酸ビニル濃度が約8〜約90重量%であるポリ(エチレン−co−酢酸ビニル)ポリマーからなる群から選択される請求項1〜9のいずれか1項の方法。
- 酢酸ビニル濃度は約20〜約40重量%である請求項10の方法。
- 組成物は、溶液、エマルジョン、混合物、分散物または調合物からなる群から選択される形で提供される請求項1〜9のいずれか1項の方法。
- 組成物中の両方のポリマーの総組合せ濃度は約0.05〜約70重量%である請求項12の方法。
- 第1ポリマー成分は、重量平均分子量が約100キロダルトン〜約500キロダルトンであり、ポリ(エチレン−co−酢酸ビニル)の酢酸ビニル含量は約20〜約40重量%である請求項12の方法。
- 第1ポリマー成分は、重量平均分子量が約200キロダルトン〜約400キロダルトンであり、ポリ(エチレン−co−酢酸ビニル)の酢酸ビニル含量は約30〜約34重量%である請求項14の方法。
- 生物活性物質は、約0.01〜約90重量%の濃度でコーティング組成物に溶解または懸濁される請求項1〜15のいずれか1項の方法。
- 生物活性物質は、トロンビンインヒビター、アンチトロンボジェニック剤、トロンビン溶解剤、繊維素溶解剤、血管痙攣インヒビター、カルシウムチャネルブロッカー、血管拡張剤、抗高血圧剤、抗微生物剤、抗生物質、表面糖タンパク質受容体のインヒビター、抗血小板剤、抗細胞分裂剤、細小管インヒビター、抗分泌剤、アクチンインヒビター、リモデリングインヒビター、アンチセンスヌクレオチド、抗代謝物、抗増殖剤、抗癌化学療法剤、抗炎症性ステロイドまたは非ステロイド抗炎症剤、免疫抑制剤、成長ホルモンアンタゴニスト、増殖因子、ドパミンアゴニスト、放射線治療剤、ペプチド、タンパク質、酵素、細胞外マトリックス成分、インヒビター、フリーラジカルスカベンジャー、キレート剤、抗酸化剤、抗ポリメラーゼ、抗ウイルス剤、光動的治療薬、および遺伝子治療薬からなる群から選択される請求項1〜16のいずれか1項の方法。
- 表面は、カテーテルまたはステントを含むデバイスにより提供される請求項1〜17のいずれか1項の方法。
- インビボで配置されるデバイス上のコーティング組成物からの最適な生物活性物質放出速度を選択する方法であって、以下の工程を含む方法:

b) 複数の異なる湿度レベルでデバイス表面に組成物をコーティングして対応する放出プロファイルを提供し、異なる湿度レベルにおける対応する放出プロファイルを評価する。 - 請求項1〜17のいずれか1項の方法に従って組成物でコーティングされたデバイスを含む組合せであって、水性環境に置かれた時、生物活性物質の制御放出を提供するようにされている組合せ。
- デバイスは、埋め込みまたはインビボでの使用の過程で屈曲および/または膨張を受ける埋め込み可能な医学デバイスであり、表面は複数のコーティング組成物でコーティングされた請求項20の組合せ。
- 第1ポリマー成分は、a) 2〜8個の炭素のアルキル鎖の長さを有するポリアルキル(メタ)アクリレート、
b) 6〜16個の炭素原子のアリール基を有する、ポリアリール(メタ)アクリレート、ポリアラルキル(メタ)アクリレート、およびポリアリールオキシアルキル(メタ)アクリレート、からなる群から選択され、第1ポリマー成分は重量平均分子量が約50〜約900キロダルトンであり、
そして第2ポリマー成分は、酢酸ビニル濃度が約8〜約90重量%であるポリ(エチレン−co−酢酸ビニル)ポリマーからなる群から選択される請求項20または21の組合せ。 - コーティングは、生物活性物質、および第1ポリマー成分と第2ポリマー成分を含む1部系の形の組成物をコーティングし、コーティング組成物中の両方のポリマーの総組合せ濃度は約0.05〜約70重量%であり、生物活性物質は約0.01〜約90重量%の濃度でコーティング組成物中に溶解または懸濁される請求項20〜22のいずれか1項の組合せ。
- コーティング組成物中の両方のポリマーの総組合せ濃度は約0.25〜約10重量%である請求項23の組合せ。
- デバイスは、カテーテルとステントからなる群から選択される請求項20〜24のいずれか1項の組合せ。
- カテーテルは、尿カテーテルと静脈内カテーテルからなる群から選択される請求項25の組合せ。
- 生物活性物質に起因するコーティングの重量は、デバイスの総表面積1cm2当たり約1μg〜約10mgの生物活性物質である請求項20〜24のいずれか1項の組合せ。
- 生物活性物質に起因するコーティングの重量は、デバイスの総表面積の1cm2当たり約0.01〜約0.5mgの生物活性物質であり、組成物のコーティングの厚さは、約0.1μm〜約100μmの範囲である請求項27の組合せ。
- a) 設置の過程でまたは以後のインビボで使用の過程で、少なくとも45度以上曲げられるかおよび/またはそのサイズの2倍以上に膨張することによりデバイスが屈曲または膨張を受ける条件下で、インビボでデバイスを埋め込み、そして
b) デバイスが埋め込まれたまま維持され、インサイチュー(in situ)で生物活性物質を放出することを可能にする工程を含む請求項20の組合せの使用法。 - 第1ポリマー成分は、a) 2〜8個の炭素のアルキル鎖の長さを有するポリアルキル(メタ)アクリレート、
b) 6〜16個の炭素原子のアリール基を有する、ポリアリール(メタ)アクリレート、ポリアラルキル(メタ)アクリレート、およびポリアリールオキシアルキル(メタ)アクリレート、からなる群から選択され、第1ポリマー成分は重量平均分子量が約50〜約900キロダルトンであり、
そして第2ポリマー成分は、酢酸ビニル濃度が約8〜約90重量%であるポリ(エチレン−co−酢酸ビニル)ポリマーからなる群から選択される請求項29の方法。 - 生物活性物質に起因するコーティングの重量は、デバイスの総表面積の1cm2当たり約0.01〜約0.5mgの生物活性物質であり、組成物のコーティングの厚さは、約0.1μm〜約100μmの範囲である請求項30の方法。
- デバイスはカテーテルとステントから選択される請求項31の方法。
- 体内でインサイチューで配置された請求項20のコーティングされたデバイス組合せを含むシステム。
- 組成物は、そこでポリマーが真の溶液を生成する溶媒を含む請求項1〜17および29〜31のいずれか1項の方法。
- デバイスは、アクリル類、ビニル、ナイロン、ポリウレタン、ポリカーボネート、ポリアミド、ポリスルホン、ポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)、ポリ乳酸、ポリグリコール酸、ポリジメチルシロキサン、およびポリエーテルエーテルケトン、天然の有機物質、金属、セラミクス、ガラス、シリカおよびサファイアからなる群から選択される生体材料を含む請求項1〜17および29〜31のいずれか1項の方法。

- 血管デバイスは、移植片、ステント、カテーテル、弁、人工心臓、および心臓支援デバイスから選択され、整形外科用デバイスは、関節インプラント、骨折修復デバイス、および人工腱から選択され、歯科デバイスは、人工歯根および骨折修復デバイスから選択され、尿デバイスは、陰茎、括約筋、尿道、膀胱および腎デバイスから選択される請求項37の方法。
- 生物活性物質が抗増殖剤である請求項1〜16、29〜32、および36〜38のいずれか1項の方法。
