Abstract
【解決手段】本発明は、半導体性と金属性の電気的特性を有する2つのカーボンナノチューブの混合物から半導体性カーボンナノチューブのみを選択的に分離する方法に関するものであって、カーボンナノチューブの混合物をニトロニウムイオン含有溶液で処理した後、濾過および熱処理してカーボンナノチューブ混合物中に含有されている金属性カーボンナノチューブを選択的に除去する。

通常のアーク放電方法で得られたカーボンナノチューブ混合物を以下のように処理して、それから半導体性カーボンナノチューブのみを選択的に分離した。
Claims (7)
- 金属性カーボンナノチューブと半導体性カーボンナノチューブとを含むカーボンナノチューブ混合物を、ニトロニウム(nitronium)イオン含有有機溶液で処理した後、濾過して固形分を回収し、これを熱処理することを含む、半導体性カーボンナノチューブの選別方法。
- ニトロニウムイオン含有有機溶液がニトロニウム化合物を有機溶媒に溶解して製造されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 常温〜100℃範囲の温度で1時間〜10週間攪拌することを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- ニトロニウム溶液が0.01〜1mol/lの範囲の濃度でニトロニウムイオンを含有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- ニトロニウム化合物がニトロニウムテトラフルオロボレート(nitronium tetrafluoroborate)、ニトロニウムヘキサフルオロアンチモネート(nitronium hexafluoroantimonate)またはこれらの混合物であることを特徴とする請求項2記載の方法。
- 有機溶媒がメチルアルコール、エチルアルコール、イソプロピルアルコール、クロロホルム、テトラメチレンスルホン、ベンゼン、アセトン、キシレン、トルエン、N,N−ジメチルホルムアミド、ジクロロエタンおよび1−メチル−2−ピロリジノンから選ばれた少なくとも1種であることを特徴とする請求項2記載の方法。
- 固形分の熱処理を400〜1500℃の範囲の温度で行うことを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
