Abstract
【解決手段】パティキュレートフィルタ4の再生処理の開始前に、パティキュレートフィルタ4におけるパティキュレート堆積量を推定し、推定されたパティキュレート堆積量に基づいて再生処理の最大時間を設定する。再生処理を開始してからの経過時間が、その最大時間になると、強制的に再生処理を停止させる。従って、センサ8,11等に異常が生じてパティキュレート堆積量が正確に検出できなくなっても、再生処理のために無駄に燃料が消費される事態を防止できる。

Description
再生処理の開始前に、パティキュレートフィルタにおけるパティキュレート堆積量を推定する推定手段と、
推定手段によって推定されたパティキュレート堆積量に基づいて、再生処理を行なう最大時間を設定する設定手段と、
パティキュレートフィルタにおけるパティキュレート堆積量に関連する物理量を検出する検出手段と、
ディーゼルエンジンの排気工程中において燃料をポスト噴射して、当該燃料をパティキュレートフィルタに供給し、この燃料の燃焼熱を利用してパティキュレートを除去することによりパティキュレートフィルタを再生する再生手段と、
検出手段により検出される物理量から求めたパティキュレート堆積量が、パティキュレートフィルタの再生完了を判定するための判定値以下となったとき、及び再生手段により再生処理が開始されてからの経過時間が上記最大時間となったときのいずれかの条件が成立した場合に再生手段による再生処理を停止させる停止手段とを備えることを特徴とする。
停止手段は、記憶手段に故障に関する情報が記憶されているときに、再生手段による再生処理を停止させることが好ましい。

Claims (9)
- パティキュレートフィルタの強制再生処理の実行要求に基づいて、強制再生処理を開始する再生処理装置であって、
再生処理の開始前に、パティキュレートフィルタにおけるパティキュレート堆積量を推定する推定手段と、
前記推定手段によって推定されたパティキュレート堆積量に基づいて、再生処理を行なう最大時間を設定する設定手段と、
前記パティキュレートフィルタにおけるパティキュレート堆積量に関連する物理量を検出する検出手段と、
ディーゼルエンジンの排気工程中において燃料をポスト噴射して、当該燃料を前記パティキュレートフィルタに供給し、この燃料の燃焼熱を利用してパティキュレートを除去することにより前記パティキュレートフィルタを再生する再生手段と、
前記検出手段により検出される物理量から求めたパティキュレート堆積量が、パティキュレートフィルタの再生完了を判定するための判定値以下となったとき、及び前記再生手段により再生処理が開始されてからの経過時間が前記最大時間となったときのいずれかの条件が成立した場合に前記再生手段による再生処理を停止させる停止手段とを備えることを特徴とするパティキュレートフィルタの再生処理装置。 - 各部の故障診断を行なう故障診断手段と、
前記故障診断によって故障が発見されたとき、その故障に関する情報を記憶する記憶手段とを備え、
前記停止手段は、前記記憶手段に故障に関する情報が記憶されているときに、前記再生手段による再生処理を停止させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパティキュレートフィルタの再生処理装置。 - 前記推定手段は、複数の方法によってパティキュレート堆積量を推定し、前記設定手段は、推定された複数のパティキュレート堆積量に基づいて、再生処理を行なう最大時間を設定することを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載のパティキュレートフィルタの再生処理装置。
- 前記設定手段は、推定された複数のパティキュレートの最大値から、再生処理を行なう最大時間を設定することを特徴とする請求項3に記載のパティキュレートフィルタの再生処理装置。
- 前記推定手段は、前記パティキュレートフィルタの入口側と出口側との圧力差に基づく推定、前記パティキュレートフィルタの重量に基づく推定、前回の再生処理からのディーゼルエンジンの運転時間に基づく推定、前回の再生処理からのディーゼルエンジンが搭載された車両の走行距離に基づく推定、前回の再生処理からの燃料噴射量の総計に基づく推定のうち、少なくとも2つ以上の方法によって複数のパティキュレート堆積量を推定することを特徴とする請求項3又は請求項4に記載のパティキュレートフィルタの再生処理装置。
- 前記再生手段による再生処理の開始から所定期間の間、前記ディーゼルエンジンの回転数をアイドル回転数よりも高い回転数に保持するように制御する回転数制御手段を備えることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれかに記載のパティキュレートフィルタの再生処理装置。
- 前記所定期間は、前記パティキュレートフィルタにおいて、前記燃料の燃焼が確認されるまでの期間であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のパティキュレートフィルタの再生処理装置。
- 前記回転数制御手段は、前記所定期間経過後に、前記ディーゼルエンジンの回転数をアイドル状態を維持可能な最低回転数に制御することを特徴とする請求項6又は請求項7に記載のパティキュレートフィルタの再生処理装置。
- 前記再生手段による再生処理が行なわれる間、前記回転数制御手段は、前記ディーゼルエンジンに、各燃焼行程において単一の燃料噴射を行なって、前記ディーゼルエンジンの回転数を制御することを特徴とする請求項6乃至請求項8のいずれかに記載のパティキュレートフィルタの再生処理装置。
