Abstract
【解決手段】 判定装置は、衝突のシビアリティに対応して段階的に乗員保護装置3を駆動する。判定装置は、車両の加速度を検出する単一の加速度センサ21と、加速度センサ21に電気的に接続され、検出された加速度波形から塑性変形パルスを分離検出する塑性変形パルス検出部202cと、分離検出された塑性変形パルスから衝突のシビアリティを判定するシビアリティ判定部202dと、を持つ判定回路202と、を備えてなることを特徴とする。

Description
まず、本実施形態の乗員保護システムの構成について説明する。図5に、本実施形態の乗員保護システムのECUの配置図を示す。図に示すように、ECU2は、車両9のフロアトンネル(図略)上のインストルメントパネル92下に固定されている。図6に、本実施形態の乗員保護システムのブロック図を示す。図に示すように、本実施形態の乗員保護システム1は、ECU2とエアバッグ装置3とを備えている。
本実施形態と第一実施形態との相違点は、弾性変形パルス検出部が配置されていない点である。したがって、ここでは相違点についてのみ説明する。図10に、本実施形態の乗員保護システムのブロック図を示す。なお、図6と対応する部位については同じ符号で示す。図に示すように、判定回路202には、衝突判定部202aと塑性変形パルス検出部202cとシビアリティ判定部202dとが配置されている。弾性変形パルス検出部は配置されていない。
以上、本発明の乗員保護システムおよび判定装置の実施の形態について説明した。しかしながら、実施の形態は上記形態に特に限定するものではない。当業者が行いうる種々の変形的形態、改良的形態で実施することも可能である。
Claims (9)
- 衝突のシビアリティに対応して段階的に乗員保護装置を駆動するための判定装置であって、
車両の加速度を検出する単一の加速度センサと、
該加速度センサに電気的に接続され、検出された該加速度の波形から塑性変形パルスを分離検出する塑性変形パルス検出部と、分離検出された該塑性変形パルスから衝突のシビアリティを判定するシビアリティ判定部と、を持つ判定回路と、
を備えてなる判定装置。 - 前記塑性変形パルス検出部は、ハイパスフィルタを用いて前記塑性変形パルスを分離検出する請求項1に記載の判定装置。
- 前記判定回路は、さらに、前記加速度センサにより検出された前記加速度の波形から弾性変形パルスを分離検出する弾性変形パルス検出部を持つ請求項1に記載の判定装置。
- 前記弾性変形パルス検出部は、ローパスフィルタを用いて前記弾性変形パルスを分離検出する請求項3に記載の判定装置。
- 前記塑性変形パルス検出部は、前記加速度の波形から前記弾性変形パルスを除去することにより、前記塑性変形パルスを分離検出する請求項3に記載の判定装置。
- 前記加速度センサおよび前記判定回路は、前記乗員保護装置用の電子制御ユニット内にモジュール化され配置されている請求項1に記載の判定装置。
- 前記電子制御ユニットは、前記車両の車室付近における車幅方向中央部に配置されている請求項6に記載の判定装置。
- 車両の加速度を検出する単一の加速度センサと、
該加速度センサに電気的に接続され、検出された該加速度の波形から塑性変形パルスを分離検出する塑性変形パルス検出部と、分離検出された該塑性変形パルスから衝突のシビアリティを判定するシビアリティ判定部と、を持つ判定回路と、
を有する判定装置と、
該判定装置に電気的に接続され、該シビアリティに対応して段階的に駆動される乗員保護装置と、
を備えてなる乗員保護システム。 - 前記乗員保護装置は、複数のインフレータと、該インフレータにより膨張され乗員に弾接する袋体と、を持つエアバッグ装置であり、
前記判定装置は、前記シビアリティに対応して、点火する該インフレータの数を決定する請求項8に記載の乗員保護システム。
