Abstract
【解決手段】 本発明の排気浄化装置は、燃料添加弁30と、燃料添加弁30により噴射された燃料を改質する燃料改質触媒31と、燃料改質触媒31により改質された燃料が導入されるNOx触媒23とを排気管22内に備える。そして、排気管22の内部に燃料改質触媒31が配置され、この燃料改質触媒31の外周又は内周に排気ガスを通過させる迂回流路22bが設けられていることを特徴とする。

Claims (12)
- 燃料噴射手段と、前記燃料噴射手段により噴射された燃料を改質する燃料改質触媒と、前記燃料改質触媒により改質された燃料が導入される排気浄化手段とを排気通路内に備え、前記排気通路の内部に前記燃料改質触媒が配置され、該燃料改質触媒の外周又は内周の少なくともいずれか一方に排気ガスを通過させる迂回流路が設けられていることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記燃料改質触媒が前記排気通路の中央部に配置され、前記迂回流路が前記燃料改質触媒の外周を取り囲むように設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記燃料改質触媒が前記排気通路の外周部に配置され、前記迂回流路が前記燃料改質触媒の内周に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記燃料改質触媒を通過する排気ガスの前記迂回流路を通過する排気ガスに対する流量比が1以下となるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記改質触媒と前記燃料噴射手段との間に酸化触媒が配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記酸化触媒は、前記燃料改質触媒及び前記迂回流路の両者に跨って配置されていることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 燃料噴射手段と、前記燃料噴射手段により噴射された燃料を改質する燃料改質触媒と、 前記燃料改質触媒により改質された燃料が導入される排気浄化手段とを排気通路内に備えた内燃機関の排気浄化装置であって、
前記燃料改質触媒の温度及び空燃比に基づいて前記燃料改質触媒の燃料改質率を推定する改質率推定手段と、前記改質率推定手段の推定結果に応じて前記燃料噴射手段による燃料の噴射状態を変化させる燃料噴射制御手段と、
を具備することを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記燃料噴射制御手段は、前記改質率推定手段の推定結果に応じて前記燃料の噴射及びその停止の実行時間及び実行間隔のうち少なくともいずれか一方を決定することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 燃料噴射手段と、前記燃料噴射手段により噴射された燃料を改質する燃料改質触媒と、前記燃料改質触媒により改質された燃料が導入される排気浄化手段とを排気通路内に備え、前記燃料改質触媒の温度を考慮して燃料の噴射及びその停止を前記燃料噴射手段に実行させる燃料噴射制御手段を具備する内燃機関の排気浄化装置であって、
前記燃料改質触媒の温度が所定値よりも低い場合には、前記燃料噴射制御手段は、前記燃料の噴射及びその停止の実行に先立って、前記燃料改質触媒の温度を上昇させるべく前記燃料噴射手段に燃料の噴射を実行させることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記燃料噴射制御手段は、前記燃料改質触媒の温度上昇に要する燃料量が該温度上昇により見込まれる燃料消費量の減少分よりも小さくなる関係を満足する範囲内で、前記燃料噴射手段に燃料の噴射を実行させることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 燃料噴射手段と、前記燃料噴射手段により噴射された燃料を改質する燃料改質触媒と、 前記燃料改質触媒により改質された燃料が導入される排気浄化手段とを排気通路内に備えた内燃機関の排気浄化装置であって、前記燃料改質触媒における空燃比を制御する改質用空燃比制御手段と、前記燃料改質触媒の温度及び空燃比に基づいて前記改質触媒の燃料改質率を推定する改質率推定手段と、前記改質率推定手段の推定結果及び前記排気浄化手段の温度に基づいて該排気浄化手段の浄化率を推定する浄化率推定手段と、を具備し、
前記改質用空燃比制御手段は、前記浄化率推定手段により推定される浄化率が増加する方向に前記空燃比を制御することを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記空燃比制御手段は、前記燃料改質触媒の温度が高いほど前記改質触媒の空燃比をリッチ側とすることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
