Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.光ファイバプリフォームの製造装置から発生する、ゲルマニウムを含む気体 廃棄物の処理方法であって、 前記気体廃棄物から廃液を生成する段階と、 前記廃液中でゲルマニウムを沈殿させる段階とを含み、 前記沈殿が、前記廃液中に酸化マグネシウムMgOを添加することによって行わ れることを特徴とする方法。 2.前記気体廃棄物が、四塩化ゲルマニウムのGeCl4の形でゲルマニウムを含み 、廃液の前記生成段階が、前記気体廃棄物と苛性ソーダとを反応させることから なり、その結果前記廃液がゲルマニウムと次亜塩素酸塩を含むことを特徴とする 請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 3.前記次亜塩素酸塩が、前記の廃液の生成段階後、前記の沈殿段階前に還元さ れることを特徴とする請求の範囲第2項に記載の方法。 4.前記の次亜塩素酸塩の還元が、ギ酸を用いて行われることを特徴とする請求 の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 5.前記の廃液生成段階と前記の次亜塩素酸塩の還元との間に 苛性ソーダが添加されることを特徴とする請求の範囲第4項に記載の方法。 6.廃液に添加される酸化マグネシウムが、pHの値が8から10の間となるよ うな量であることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項から第5項のいずれか一項に記 載の方法。
