Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【発明の属する技術分野】本発明は、複数の非磁性部材
を接合する方法に関する。
【0002】
【従来の技術及び発明が解決しようとする課題】近年、
地球環境保護及び省エネルギーの観点から飛行機類、自
動車等の輸送用機器を一層軽量化することが望まれてい
る。そのため、それらの主構成部材としてアルミニウム
合金、及び/又は繊維強化複合材を用いることが検討さ
れている。特に軽量化と共に高強度、耐食性及び耐油性
が要求される用途に用いられる部材として繊維強化複合
材の開発がめざましい。
【0003】従来、アルミニウム合金部材同士を接合す
る場合にはアーク溶接を行っており、強度を得るために
溶接部では予め肉厚にしなければならず、そのため軽量
化の効果が充分に発揮されなかった。更に、アーク溶接
特有の欠陥が生じることがあり、この場合は溶接部をは
つり再溶接しなければならず多大な工数を必要とした。
また、航空機用部材等に使用する高力アルミニウム合金
は溶接性が悪いためリベット接合が行われており、この
ため重量及びコストの増大を招いている。従って、アル
ミニウム合金部材同士の簡便な接着が可能であれば軽量
化と工数低減を図ることができる。
【0004】また、繊維強化複合材同士又は繊維強化複
合材とアルミニウム合金部材を接合する場合は溶接によ
る接合は不可能であるため、接着が行われている。例え
ば、特開平10-264257号には未硬化のプリプレグを接合
材として繊維強化複合材同士を一体成形する方法が開示
されている。
【0005】しかし、これら非磁性部材同士を接着する
ためには接合部を加圧する必要があり、特に大型の部材
同士を接着する際には構造物全体を大型の金属製治具で
固定し、更にボルト止め、リベット止め、クランプ止め
等を併用していた。このため、部材に多数の貫通孔を開
けてボルト等を挿入し、接着剤硬化後にボルトを抜き出
し、更に穴埋め作業を行うこと等が必要であり、大型治
具や多大な工数のために高い製造コストが掛かるという
問題があった。
【0006】従って本発明の目的は、アルミニウム合金
あるいは繊維強化複合材を始めとする非磁性部材のうち
同種又は異種の非磁性部材を少ない工数で効率良く接着
接合する方法を提供することである。

【課題を解決するための手段】上記課題に鑑み鋭意研究
の結果、本発明者らは、複数の非磁性部材の接合方法に
おいて、未硬化の接着剤を介して非磁性部材(A)と(B)を
合わせ、磁石製接合加圧治具と磁性体製接合受圧治具に
より接合部間に加圧力を作用させながら前記接着剤を硬
化させることにより上記問題を解決できることを見出
し、本発明に想到した。
【0008】すなわち、本発明の非磁性部材の接合方法
は、 (1) 非磁性部材(A)及び(B)の各接合部(a)と(b)の接合面
間に未硬化の接着剤を介して非磁性部材(A)と(B)を合わ
せる工程 (2) 磁石製接合加圧治具と磁性体製接合受圧治具により
接合部間に加圧力を作用させる工程、及び (3) 加圧力を作用させながら接着剤を硬化させる工程 を含むことを特徴とする。
【0009】上述の接着剤は熱硬化性接着シートである
ことが好ましく、また磁石製接合加圧治具の加圧面と非
磁性部材の接合部外表面の間には緩衝材シートを介在さ
せることが好ましい。
【0010】非磁性部材は繊維強化複合材であることが
好ましい。
【0011】本発明の非磁性部材の接合方法は、繊維強
化複合材からなり、かつ航空機の胴体構造物を構成する
半円筒型外皮部(A')及び(B')の接合に適用することがで
きる。

【発明の実施の形態】本発明の非磁性部材の接合方法
は、 (1) 非磁性部材(A)及び(B)の各接合部(a)と(b)の接合面
間に未硬化の接着剤を介して非磁性部材(A)と(B)を合わ
せる工程 (2) 磁石製接合加圧治具と磁性体製接合受圧治具により
接合部間に加圧力を作用させる工程、及び (3) 加圧力を作用させながら接着剤を硬化させる工程 を含む。
【0013】非磁性部材(A)及び(B)は、繊維強化複合
材、アルミニウム合金部材等の軽量部材から選ばれるこ
とが好ましく、その組み合わせは同種又は異種のいずれ
でもよい。また、非磁性部材(A)及び(B)の形状に制限は
なく、パネル状、パイプ状、箱状等のうち同種又は異種
のいずれの組み合わせでもよい。
【0014】繊維強化複合材は、例えば炭素繊維、ガラ
ス繊維、アラミド繊維等の強化繊維に合成樹脂(ポリエ
ステル、エポキシ樹脂、ビスマレイミド樹脂、フェノー
ル樹脂、メラミン樹脂、硅素樹脂等)を含浸させてなる
繊維強化複合材を硬化させたものであればよい。
【0015】以下、磁石製接合加圧治具を用いて繊維強
化複合材構造物を接合する場合について、図面を用いて
詳細に説明する。図1及び図2は、硬化された繊維強化
複合材からなり、かつ航空機の胴体構造物を構成する半
円筒型外皮部同士を接合する例を示す。図1中1は、磁
石製接合加圧治具であり、磁性体製取っ手11、磁性体製
治具12、磁石13からなる。図1中7は、上述の磁石製接
合加圧治具1と対をなす磁性体製接合受圧治具である。
また、図1中4及び6は、それぞれ半円筒型外皮部(A')
及び(B')であり、その接合部を接着シート5を介して合
わせてある様子を示す。但し、接合部の形状は図示例に
限るものではなく、他の形状も可能である。
【0016】(1) 半円筒型外皮部(A')及び(B')の各接合
部(a')と(b')の接合面間に未硬化の接着シートを入れて
半円筒型外皮部(A')と(B')を合わせる工程 図1に示す2枚の半円筒型外皮部(A')4及び(B')6の接
合部間に、未硬化の接着シート5を入れ、半円筒型外皮
部(A')4と(B')6を合わせる。接合部間に入れる未硬化
の接着シートの枚数は、接合部の間隙量に応じて選択す
るのが好ましいが、通常は一枚が好ましい。未硬化の接
着シートの枚数が多過ぎると、組立て時の寸法精度が悪
くなるので好ましくない。
【0017】接着剤には特に制限はないが、航空機の構
造物等の接着に用いる場合は、強力な過重によるクリー
プが少なく、熱、水、油、ガソリン等溶剤への耐性を有
するものが好ましい。従って、熱硬化型エポキシ系、フ
ェノール系、レゾルシノール系等の熱硬化性か、あるい
はこれに合成ゴムまたは熱可塑性のものを混合した接着
剤が好ましい。
【0018】接着剤は上記のものを塗布してもよいが、
上記接着剤を含有する接着シートを用いるのが好まし
い。このような熱硬化型の接着剤又は接着シートを用い
る場合は、その硬化温度は磁石の耐熱温度以下であるも
のが好ましい。例えば、米国スリーエム社製AF163-2K
(硬化温度120℃)、米国サイテックファイバーライト
社製FM300-2(硬化温度120〜180℃)等が好ましい。
【0019】(2) 磁石製接合加圧治具と磁性体製接合受
圧治具により接合部間に加圧力を作用させる工程 磁石製接合加圧治具1と磁性体製接合受圧治具7を用い
て、半円筒型外皮部(A')4及び(B')6の接合部を挟み、
磁石と磁性体間の引力の利用により加圧する。
【0020】まず、磁性体製接合受圧治具7を、半円筒
型外皮部(B')6の接合部(b')外表面に当接する。磁性体
製接合受圧治具7の受圧面は、半円筒型外皮部(B')6の
少なくとも接合部(b')外表面形状に沿うことが可能な形
状を有することが好ましい。次に、磁性体製接合受圧治
具7と対をなす磁石製接合加圧治具1を、接合部(a')外
表面に当接する。磁石製接合加圧治具1の加圧面は、半
円筒型外皮部(A')の少なくとも接合部(a')外表面形状に
沿うことが可能な形状を有することが好ましい。
【0021】また、磁性体製接合受圧治具7の代わりに
磁石製接合加圧治具1をもう一つ用いて磁石製接合加圧
治具同士の引力を作用させてもよい。
【0022】磁石サイズ及び磁力については、接合部の
厚み、範囲及び非磁性部材の種類により異なるが、接合
部において加圧力が0.025〜0.8kgf/cm2になるように選
ぶのが好ましい。より好ましくは、0.2〜0.6kgf/cm2
ある。加圧力が0.025kgf/cm2より低いと、接合面が全体
に均一に接着シートと接触しないために接合強度が低く
なる上、磁石製接合加圧治具1及び磁性体製接合受圧治
具7が自重で脱落する危険性がある。加圧力の上限は特
に制限されないが、0.8kgf/cm2を超えると、加圧力増加
による接合強度の向上が少なくなる上、脱着が困難にな
【0023】磁石は、作業性等の観点から永久磁石であ
ることが好ましい。また接着剤として熱硬化型のものを
用いる場合は、磁石の耐熱温度は130℃以上であること
が好ましい。
【0024】このような条件を満たす磁石として、例え
ば、住友特殊金属(株)製NEOMAX-39SH(耐熱温度140
℃)等が好ましい。また、磁石には、ハンドリングを良
くするために図1のように磁性体製の治具12及び取っ手
11を取り付けることが好ましい。図2では、接合位置決
めのために繊維強化複合材からなるストリンガー部3の
形状を利用した磁性体製治具12の例を示している。但
し、磁石及び磁性体製治具の形状は図示例に限るもので
はなく、他の形状も可能である。
【0025】また、磁石に周状の磁路を形成させて接合
面全体に加圧力を作用させるために、図1の13のように
一対の永久磁石を使用し、かつ磁極を互いに逆向きに固
定することが好ましい。
【0026】また、磁石製接合加圧治具1の取外し作業
性向上及び該加圧治具1の接合部形状へのなじみを良く
するため、磁石製接合加圧治具1の加圧面と半円筒型外
皮部(A')6の接合部(a')外表面の間に緩衝材2を介在さ
せることが好ましい。緩衝材としてはシリコンシート、
テフロン(登録商標)シート等が好ましい。緩衝材の厚
さは特に限定されないが、1〜3mmであるのが好まし
い。緩衝材を用いた場合は、これを介した状態におい
て、加圧力が0.025〜0.8kgf/cm2になるように磁石の磁
力を選ぶのが好ましい。
【0027】また、磁石製接合加圧治具1及び磁性体製
接合受圧治具7を当接する前に、接合位置決めのための
最小限のピン、ボルトとナット、リベット、シートクラ
ンプ等を併用することが好ましい。但し、ピン等の数が
多くなり過ぎると工程が増大するため好ましくない。
【0028】(3) 加圧力を作用させながら接着シートを
硬化させる工程 図2に示すように接合部に加圧力を作用させながら熱硬
化性の接着シート5の硬化に必要な温度に加熱する。加
熱手段には特に制限はない。接合部だけを局部的に熱風
等で加熱してもよいが、局部加熱をすると加熱部の熱膨
張により繊維強化複合材の破損や接合部の破損を生じる
ことがあるので、均熱炉を使用して繊維強化複合材全体
を均一加熱することが好ましい。加熱温度は、磁石の耐
熱温度以下で、かつ接着シートを熱硬化させるのに十分
な温度であればよいが、100〜130℃の範囲内が好まし
く、より好ましくは110〜120℃である。100℃より低温
では接着シートの硬化反応が不完全であるので、十分な
接合強度を得ることが困難となる。
【0029】加圧下での接合面の加熱は、接着剤が十分
硬化して十分な接合強度が得られる間保持すればよく、
60分間程度保持するのが好ましい。また、繊維強化複合
材が大型の場合には、昇温及び降温は共に2〜4℃/分
の一定の速度で処理することが好ましい。
【0030】位置決めのためにピン等を併用した場合に
は、接合が終了した後、接合部からピンを抜き取って
も、そのまま残しておいてもよい。ピンを抜き取る場合
には、抜き取った後の穴を樹脂等で被覆する。また、ピ
ンを残す場合には、ピンを埋め込み型のものとし、ピン
の頭上の穴を上述の手段と同様に被覆し、ピンの腐食を
防止するようにする。
【0031】以上の通り、図面を参照して本発明の非磁
性部材を接合する方法を説明したが、本発明はそれに限
定されず、その趣旨を変更しない限り種々の変更を加え
ることができる。

【発明の効果】以上詳述したように、本発明の方法によ
り、複数の非磁性部材を少ない工数で効率良く接着する
ことができる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】 複数の非磁性部材の接合方法において、 (1) 非磁性部材(A)及び(B)の各接合部(a)と(b)の接合面
    間に未硬化の接着剤を介して非磁性部材(A)と(B)を合わ
    せる工程 (2) 磁石製接合加圧治具と磁性体製接合受圧治具により
    接合部間に加圧力を作用させる工程、及び (3) 加圧力を作用させながら前記接着剤を硬化させる工
    程を含むことを特徴とする非磁性部材の接合方法。
  2. 【請求項2】 請求項1に記載の非磁性部材の接合方法
    において、前記接着剤が熱硬化性接着シートであること
    を特徴とする非磁性部材の接合方法。
  3. 【請求項3】 請求項1又は2に記載の非磁性部材の接
    合方法において、前記磁石製接合加圧治具の加圧面と前
    記非磁性部材(A)又は(B)の接合部(a)又は(b)の外表面と
    の間に緩衝材を介在させることを特徴とする非磁性部材
    の接合方法。
  4. 【請求項4】 請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の非磁性
    部材の接合方法において、前記非磁性部材が繊維強化複
    合材であることを特徴とする非磁性部材の接合方法。
  5. 【請求項5】 請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の非磁性
    部材の接合方法において、前記非磁性部材(A)及び(B)が
    共に繊維強化複合材であり、かつ航空機の胴体構造物を
    構成する半円筒型外皮部(A')及び(B')であることを特徴
    とする非磁性部材の接合方法。
