- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 水素化脱硫触媒用のアルミナ担体であり、該担体は立方センチメートル当 たり1.0グラム未満の粒子密度およびグラム当たり約0.5より約1.1立方 センチメートルの範囲内の細孔容積を含み、その際細孔容積の少なくとも約70 %は140Åと220Åの範囲内の直径を有する細孔にあり、細孔容積の5%未 満は約500Åより大きい直径を有する細孔にあり、そして細孔容積の2%未満 は約1000Åより大きい直径を有する細孔にあり、かつそのアルミナ担体の細 孔は170Åより大きいピーク細孔直径を有する前記の水素化脱硫触媒用のアル ミナ担体。 2. 請求項1に記載の担体において、その細孔容積の少なくとも約45%は1 70Åと220Åの範囲内の直径を有する細孔にあり、かつそのアルミナ担体の 細孔は170Åより220Åまでの範囲内にピーク細孔直径を有する請求項1に 記載の担体。 3. 請求項1に記載の担体において、その細孔容積の少なくとも約25%は1 80Åと220Åの範囲内の直径を有する細孔にあり、かつそのアルミナ担体の 細孔は180Åより220Åまでの範囲内にピーク細孔直径を有する請求項1に 記載の担体。 4. 請求項1に記載の担体において、その細孔容積の約20%未満は70Åと 130Åの間の直径を有する細孔にある請求項1に記載の担体。 5. 請求項1に記載の担体において、その細孔容積の約65%未満は110Å と190Åの間の直径を有する細孔にある請求項1に記載の担体。 6. 請求項1に記載の担体において、その細孔容積の約2%未満は約500Å より大きい直径を有する細孔にあり、かつその細孔容積の約1%未満は約100 0Åより大きい直径を有する細孔にある請求項1に記載の担体。 7. 請求項6に記載の担体において、その細孔容積の約1%未満は約500Å より大きい直径を有する細孔にあり、かつその細孔容積の約0.5%未満は約1 000Åより大きい直径を有する細孔にある請求項6に記載の担体。 8. 請求項3に記載の担体において、その細孔容積の約1%未満は約500Å より大きい直径を有する細孔にあり、かつその細孔容積の約0.5%未満は約1 000Åより大きい直径を有する細孔にある請求項3に記載の担体。 9. 請求項7に記載の担体において、その細孔容積の約2%未満は約300Å より大きい直径を有する細孔にある請求項7に記載の担体。 10.請求項8に記載の担体において、その細孔容積の約2%未満は約300Å より大きい直径を有する細孔にある請求項8に記載の担体。 11.重油の水素化脱硫用触媒であり、請求項1のアルミナ担体、第VIB族元素 の金属、酸化物および硫化物より選択される第VIB族成分、および第VIII族元素 の金属、酸化物および硫化物より選択される第・族成分から成る重油の水素化脱 硫用触媒。 12.請求項11に記載の触媒において、その触媒の細孔容積の少なくとも約7 0%は140Åと220Åの範囲内の直径を有する細孔にあり、触媒の細孔容積 の5%未満は約500Åより大きい直径を有する細孔にあり、そして触媒の細孔 容積の2%未満は約1000Åより大きい直径を有する細孔にあり、かつその触 媒の細孔は170Åより大きいピーク細孔直径を有する請求項11に記載の触媒 。 13.請求項12に記載の触媒において、その触媒の細孔容積の少なくとも約4 5%は170Åより220Åまでの範囲内の直径を有する細孔にあり、かつその 触媒の細孔は170Åより220Åまでの範囲内のピーク細孔直径を有する請求 項12に記載の触媒。 14.請求項11に記載の触媒において、コバルト、ニッケルおよびモリブデン の金属、酸化物および硫化物より選択される第・族成分および第VIB族成分を有 する請求項11に記載の触媒。 15.請求項14に記載の触媒において、約2%と約4%の間のニッケルおよび 約7%と約9%の間のモリブデンを含む請求項14に記載の触媒。 16.請求項15に記載の触媒において、アルミナ担体をコバルトまたはニッケ ル塩およびヘテロポリモリブデン酸の溶液で含浸することにより調製される請求 項15に記載の触媒。 17.請求項1に記載の担体において、5分未満の硝酸ゲル化値を有するアルフ ァ・アルミナ一水化物から主として成る微粒子固体を、その固体を酸性水溶液と 約3.0より4.5までの範囲内のpHに混合することにより処理すること、そ の混合された酸の少なくとも一部を、酸の当量につき約0.9より約1.1当量 までの範囲内の量の塩基を含む窒素塩基水溶液をその処理された固体中に混合す ることにより中和すること、その中和されたまたは部分的に中和された固体を成 形して乾燥すること、およびその成形された固体を1600°F(871℃)の 温度で焼成することから成る方法を用いて調製された請求項1に記載の担体。 18.有機金属化合物を含む重油を水素の存在でおよび水素化脱硫の条件におい て請求項11に記載の触媒と接触させることから成る有機金属化合物を含む重油 を水素化脱硫する方法。 19.請求項18に記載の方法において、触媒の細孔の少なくとも約45%は1 70Åより220Åまでの範囲内の直径を有する細孔にあり、その細孔容積の約 1%未満は約500Åより大きい直径を有する細孔にあり、かつその細孔容積の 約0.5%未満は約1000Åより大きい直径を有する細孔にあり、また触媒の 細孔は170Åより220Åまでの範囲内にピーク細孔直径を有する請求項18 に記載の方法。
