- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.下記成分を含む組成物。 前記組成物の約25〜約75容量%のパラフィン蝋可溶化有機溶剤、 前記組成物の約25〜約75容量%の極性有機溶剤、及び 前記組成物の約0.5〜約20w/v%の界面活性剤。 2.更に水を約10容量%以下含む、請求項1の組成物。 3.界面活性剤が約0.5〜約15w/v%で存在する、請求項1の組成物。 4.パラフィン蝋可溶化有機溶剤が、芳香族炭化水素、テルペン又はイソパラフ ィン系炭化水素を含み、極性有機溶剤が、アルコール類、ケトン類及びエーテル 類からなる群から選ばれる、請求項1の組成物。 5.テルペンがリモネンである、請求項4の組成物。 6.パラフィン蝋可溶化有機溶剤がイソパラフィン系炭化水素を含む、請求項4 の組成物。 7.極性有機溶剤が、メタノール、エタノール、イソプロパノール、ブタノール 、tert−ブタノール、アリルアルコール、アセトン、エチレングリコール、及び プロピレングリコールからなる群から選ばれる溶剤又はそれらの溶剤の混合物を 含む、請求項4の組成物。 8.芳香族炭化水素溶剤が、アルキルベンゼン又はジアルキルベンゼンである、 請求項4の組成物。 9.界面活性剤が下式のカチオン性界面活性剤である、請求項1 の組成物。 〔式中、R1はメチル、エチル、プロピル又はイソブロピルであってnは1又 は2であり;R2はC8H17〜C30H61のアルキル基又はベンジル基であり;そし てR3は(CH2)m(mは1〜10である)であるか又はR3は(OCH2CH2)p (pは1〜10である)である。〕 10.カチオン性界面活性剤が塩化ベンザルコニウム又は塩化ベンゼトニウムであ る、請求項9の組成物。 11.界面活性剤が下式のアニオン性界面活性剤である、請求項1の組成物。 〔式中、R1はC6H13〜C30H61であり、R3はCH2又はフェニル基である。 〕 12.界面活性剤が下式の非イオン性界面活性剤である、請求項1の組成物。 〔式中、Rは直鎖状又は分枝状のC1〜C10アルキル基であり、そしてXは5 〜40の整数である。〕 13.非イオン性界面活性剤がC12〜C20脂肪酸のポリオキシエチレンエーテルを 含有する、請求項12の組成物。 14.蝋包埋検体から蝋を除去する方法であって、該蝋包埋検体をパラフィン蝋可 溶化有機溶剤、極性有機溶剤及び界面活性剤を含む組成物と接触させて検体中の 蝋を可溶化すること、及び場合により脱蝋した検体を脱蝋直後に洗剤を含む水性 洗浄溶液で洗浄することを含む方法。 15.蝋包埋検体を脱蝋するのに用いるキットであって: 個々の試薬容器を保持するように適合させたレセプタクル、 パラフィン蝋可溶化有機溶剤、極性有機溶剤及び界面活性剤を含む脱蝋組成 物であって該検体中の蝋を可溶化するための組成物を含有する第1容器、及び (1)免疫染色試薬又は(2)残留脱蝋溶液を除去するための洗剤を含む水 性洗浄溶液を含有する第2容器 を含むキット。
