Abstract

A találmány tárgya eljárás megnövelt cellaméretű, zártcellás alkenilaromás polimer hab előállítására, melynek során (I) egy polimerolvadékot képeznek (A) 80-99,7 tömeg% (az A és B komponensekössztömegére vonatkoztatva) egy vagy több alkenil aromás polimerből és(B) 0,3-20 tömeg% (az A és B komponensek össztömegére vonatkoztatva)egy vagy több lényegében random interpolimerből, amely tartalmaz (1)8-65 mol% polimer egységet, amely (a) legalább egy vinil vagyvinilidén aromás monomerből, és/vagy (b) legalább egy gátolt alifásvagy cikloalifás vinil vagy vinilidén monomerből származik, és (2) 35-92 mol% etilénből és/vagy legalább egy 3-20 szénatomos a-olefinbőlszármazó polimeregységet és (3) 0-20 mol% az (1) és (2) pontbanfelsoroltaktól különböző egy vagy több etilénesen telítetlenpolimerizálható monomer egységből származó polimeregységet -, és (C)adott esetben egy vagy több gócképző szerből; és (D) adott esetben egyvagy több egyéb adalékanyagból; és (II) a polimer olvadékba megemeltnyomáson (E) egy vagy több nulla ózonkárosító potenciállal rendelkezőhabosítószer és adott esetben egy vagy több segédhabosítószerbevitelével egy habosítható gélt képeznek; (III) a habosítható géltoptimális hőmérsékletre hűtik; és (IV) a (III) lépésben kapott géltegy szerszámon keresztül egy alacsonyabb nyomású térbe extrudálva egyhabot állítanak elő, A találmány megoldást ad a hab cellaméreténeklegalább 5 %-kal való növelésére a lényegében random interpolimernélkül előállított megfelelő habokhoz képest.
