Abstract

A találmány adatfeldolgozó rendszer és eljárás külső megszakításkezelésére, valamint programtermék átkötött csomópontok sokaságáttartalmazó adatfeldolgozó rendszerhez. A nem egységes memória-hozzáférésű (NUMA - non-uniform memory access) számítógépes rendszer(6) legalább két, csomópont átkötéssel (22) összekapcsolt csomóponttalrendelkezik, ahol a csomópontok közül legalább egy tartalmaz egyprocesszort a megszakítások kiszolgálásához. A csomópontok külsőmegszakításra vannak partícionálva úgy, hogy mindig egy külsőmegszakítás legyen átadva egy processzorhoz abban a külső megszakításitartományban, amelyben a megszakítás megjelent. Bár minden egyes külsőmegszakítási tartomány tipikusan csak egyetlen csomópontot tartalmaz,megszakítás csatornázást (interrupt channelling) vagy megszakítástölcsérezést (interrupt funnelling) valósíthatnak meg a külsőmegszakítások elirányítására a csomópont határokon keresztül ahhoz,hogy egy processzorhoz átadják. Amikor átadták egy processzorhoz,megszakításkezelő szoftvert futtathatnak bármely processzoron a külsőmegszakítás kiszolgálásához. A külső megszakítások kiszolgálását amegszakításkezelő lekérdező lánc (polling chain) méretének az eddighasználatos eljárásokéhoz képesti csökkentésével gyorsíthatják meg. Akülső megszakításokon kívül a jelen találmány megszakításiarchitektúrája támogatja a processzorok közti megszakításokat (IPI -inter-processor interrupt), amelyek által bármely processzormegszakíthatja önmagát, illetve egy vagy több másik processzort a NUMAszámítógépes rendszerben.
