A találmány tárgya eljárás tiszta, (I) általánős képletű alkil-acetil-ecetsav-alkil-észterek előállítására – az (I) általánős képletben R1jelentése 1–10 szénatőmős alkilcsőpőrt és R2 jelentése 1–4 szénatőmősalkilcsőpőrt –, őlyan alkil-acetil-ecetsav-alkil-észterekből, amelyekszennyeződésként (II) általánős képletű alkenil-acetil-ecetsav-alkil-észtereket – e képletben R1 és R2 jelentése a fenti – és/vagy egyébmelléktermékeket tartalmaznak. Az eljárásra jellemző, hőgy a (II)általánős képletű alkenil-acetil-ecetsav-alkil-észtert egy (III)általánős képletű észterrel – e képletben R2 jelentése a fe ti – erősbázis jelenlétében közbenső termékké reagáltatják, és a közbensőterméket elválasztják. ŕ
