Abstract

997,450. Decatizing. F. DRABERT, E. DRABERT, and F. DRABERT, [trading as DRABERT SOHNE]. Jan. 9, 1964 [Nov. 13,1963], No. 973/64. Heading D1L. [Also in Division F4] In decatising apparatus wherein a wrapper 1 is wound on to a steaming drum 2 with the fabric and is unwound therefrom after each decatizing operation, the wrapper 1 is subjected to a continuous drying process as it is unwound. In the form shown the wrapper, on unwinding, is pulled at constant tension by a take up drum 3 through a hot air drying device 4 which includes elongate nozzles extending the full width of the wrapper. A pair of fans which draw air through filters and heating means provide the necessary air pressure. The insulating sides and cover of the machine are hinged to provide access to the interior of the dryer.
