997,240. Refrigerators. CHICAGO STOCK YARDS TURBO REFRIGERATING CO. April 30, 1962, No. 16429/62. Heading F4H. In an open fronted refrigerator display case 10 air is circulated through separate inner and outer channels 40, 38 formed in the case and is projected across the front opening 22 in the form of substantially parallel panels 58, 60. The air forming the inner panel 58 is refrigerated during its circulation through the channel 40 by coils 42 and air in the outer channel is dehumidified by cooling coils 48. As shown the panels are projected upwardly from outlet nozzles 54, 56 extending across the lower edge of the opening 22 to inlets 62, 64 across the upper edge of the opening. Drainage channels 98, 50 are provided for condensate from the interior of the display case and from the coils 48. In modifications (Figs. 2 and 3, not shown) the panels are projected downwardly from the upper edge of the opening and an additional air circulating channel is formed in the case giving a third air panel across the opening. Said third air panel may be recirculated through conduit means external of the case.
