Abstract

1,201,568. Ventilating cabinets. ALBISWERK ZURICH A.G. 2 Dec., 1968 [2 Feb., 1968], No. 57103/68. Heading F4V. A ventilated cabinet for electrical apparatus on a ship comprises an air inlet 2 and outlet 3 for cooled air from a central ventilation system 4 and controlled by flaps 9, 10, respectively, a further air inlet 5 and outlet 6 controlled by flaps 11, 12, respectively, wherein if the system 4 breaks down or is stopped, the flaps 9, 10 are closed, the flaps 11, 12 are opened and air is drawn into the cabinet by a fan 7 via the inlet 5 and a passage 8. Immediately the system 4 breaks down, a flap 16 is opened and air circulated through the passage 8 and within the closed cabinet by the fan 7. The operation of the flaps and fan may be controlled manually or automatically. The inlet 5 includes an air filter.
