An air diffuser particularly for a ventilation opening in a ceiling comprises a circular deflector plate 7 placed in front of the opening and displaceably mounted by a screw thread on a spider 10, the plate 7 being dome-shaped or upwardly dished. The slot 11 through which the air passes may decrease and holes 12 may be provided adjacent the centre of the plate.
