Abstract

896,841. Ventilators. NORVENT Ltd. March 16, 1959 [March 21, 1958], No. 9102/58. Class 137. An air-diffuser comprises an outer ring or housing 1 consisting of a flat plate 2 with a downwardly-directed conical flange 3 and a central hole 4, a ring or projection 5 on the upper surface of the plate surrounding the hole, a number of annular louvres each having an upper tubular part 6 flaring into a conical flange 7, the series of louvres being of regularly reducing diameter, a central member having a longer tubular portion 8 than the louvres and a downwardly-directed conical flange 9, the louvres being secured in spaced relationship by cross-bars 11, engaged in holes in the ring 5, so that the upper and lower surfaces of the louvres are coplanar with the top and bottom of the housing 1. The diffuser may be mounted in the wall of an air-duct.
