Abstract

1,069,298. Gas burners. R. BUNS. Dec. 22, 1964 [Feb. 13, 1964; Dec. 14, 1964], No. 52073/64. Heading F4T. An elongate gas burner has a nozzle plate built up from substantially U-section elements, pressed out of sheet material, and having rims 3 upturned from base parts 2, the elements being secured together in contiguous relation coplanar with a burner casing opening, the rims 3 forming between them gas outflow passages. Various shapes of outflow passages are indicated in Figs. 5-9 (not shown). The base parts 2 may be extended forming flanges 9 to be gripped by a holding fillet 10. Additionally the elements may be secured together by wires 20. The discharge cross-sections of the nozzles are generally greater than their entry cross-sections. The element flanges 9 may be extended, Fig. 11 (not shown) to screen a gas inductor nipple or the sides of the burner from the flames.
