Abstract

1,038,616. Burners. G. LONGHI. April 24, 1963 [April 28, 1962], No. 16081/63. Heading F4T. A gas burner comprises a perforated sleeve 22 over which is disposed an expanded metal grating 23 secured at its ends to the sleeve. In another embodiment, Fig. 4 (not shown) a perforated gas supply head discharges into a perforated sleeve surrounded by a concentric expanded metal grating. The sleeve and grating are held between a disc and a shallow dish attached to the head. In a further embodiment, Fig. 5 (not shown) a gas outlet head discharges into a chamber closed by a porous refractory disc, and an expanded metal grating is disposed above the disc.
